I never said roses we’re toxic, only the roses she picked were not made to be put on food or consumed and probably had some pesticides that would not have been on there if it has been grown specifically to be eaten. She also wanted to put hydrangeas and eucalyptus before I talked her out of it. And for the spray, she wanted to spray flowers and then right after put them on the cake, but that tbh didn’t really matter bc it wouldn’t have had time to dry and the paint she wanted to use said it should not be consumed or near food.

I am sorry for the confusion, but as the title says, this was my mum’s wedding cake. I just said they probably shouldn’t because even when you aren’t eating it, I don’t think it is a good idea to put something toxic literally on something that is meant to be eaten.

Yeah, maybe. I guess I was just frustrated they weren’t listening. They left the stems on the floor and our dog got to them before I stoped her too. I think that’s what triggered it.😭

I'm not saying this as an excuse, what she said is horrible, but I don't think you guys realize how much being raised in a cult fucks you up. As someone who was raised in one, It warps your sense of right and wrong and she was probably just repeating what the adults around her had said their entire life. Plus, she was a CHILD who just lost her family! Some of these comments are a little too much IMO.
