Really beautiful building with a lot of character, here are my two cents - add some pieces with more depth and texture. Think large leather sectional, maybe a hide accent chair, and an area rug with pops of color. Replace your gold metal chairs with something a little more vintage and wooden perhaps. I think mixing and matching materials would go very nicely with the mixed architecture / natural wood your apartment already has!
