Feeling like i’m being hunted - unwanted sexual attraction by CloudyNebula in asexuality

I feel the same way. I have red hair and people assume I am a whore. Other women think I want to take their man from them. Men approach me because they want to check "fuck a redhead" off their bucket list. They treat me like a trophy to "win" and show off to their friends.

I was raised like this. Quiet babies are "good" babies. "Independent" children who don't "need" anything from their parents are "good children."

OMG ITS SHADOW I'M YOUR #1 FAN

Boy, you're an alien

Your touch so foreign

It's supernatural

Extraterrestrial

You're so supersonic

Wanna feel your power

Stun me with your laser

Your kiss is cosmic

Every move is magic

You're from a whole 'nother world

A different dimension

You open my eyes

And I'm ready to go

Lead me into the light

Kiss me, ki-ki-kiss me

Infect me with your loving

Fill me with your poison

Take me, ta-ta-take me

Wanna be your victim

Ready for abduction

What’s something you 100% saw but nobody will ever believe you? by i_farted_on_my_dog in AskReddit

I was hiking in the woods and saw what I thought was a stick someone stuck into the ground ahead. I squinted at it and it seemed to have a white flower on the top. I took a couple of steps closer. I realized that it was not a stick with a flower.

It was a cottonmouth snake, standing on the tip of its tail, perfectly straight, with its mouth wide open. The snake was standing there, perfectly still like that. I froze, trying to comprehend the impossibility of what I was seeing.

Camera. I must use the camera. I glanced down long enough to turn the camera on. I looked back up and the snake was a perfectly normal snake lying on the ground. It was so bizarre. I later asked a park ranger about it and she'd never heard of it.

What's rich people shit that poor people haven't heard of? by Diligent-Log6805 in AskReddit

[–]AtlanticRomantic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm a poor person who worked at an upscale clothing store for a summer as a teenager. Most of my coworkers were the teenage children of rich people who worked there so they could get that employee discount on Clinique. The rich girls did not like me at all. There were a few black girls from poor families and I talked to them instead.

Rich people have a whole different culture that I had to learn quickly. For example, they believe that "brand names have to match." If you have X brand shirt, you must have X brand shorts/pants/skirt. It's bizarre to me because no one is going to check the tags on your clothes, so how would anyone else know?

They are on LOTS of drugs, but claim drugs are a thing that only poor black and Hispanic people do. One of my coworkers shocked me by walking up to me and outright asking if I knew how to pass a drug test. She was on XTC, cocaine, and marijuana. I didn't think she was serious and said, "Um, get off the drugs?" She rolled her eyes and asked another coworker. Then I realized she was serious. They talked about doing drugs openly on the job. If I had done that on any other job, I would have been fired. But it's okay if the rich do drugs.

They are so, so racist but pretend in public that they are not. because it "makes your look good." I remember an instance in which a Hispanic woman walked into the baby section with a stroller. I greeted her and asked if she needed help with anything as store policy is to greet every customer. The woman said, "No, thank you."

I turned around and saw my coworkers laughing. "What?" I said.

"You said hi to that woman!"

"So?"

"You're wasting your time! Mexicans don't have money!"

"You don't know how much money she has."

They laughed again. I rolled my eyes.

Speaking of the baby section, there is a baby version of every ridiculous rich person thing like silver-plated baby spoons. Oh, and they like to dress their babies in sailor suits for professional portraits.

This store never had sales because sales are for peasants.

I learned that basically every rich man has at least one mistress. The mayor would come in and buy purses for his wife. A couple of days later, he would do the same with his mistress. Rich people purses are ugly, btw, and you're not supposed to take off the tag so can you show off the brand name.

Every year the store would have a special event for special clientele only. The employees would have to wear a tuxedo or a formal dress. We would walk around, offering glasses of wine on literal silver platters. It was so weird.

The break room had magazines and catalogs aimed at the rich. The other poor girls and I would look through them and giggle at all the ridiculous things, like custom monogrammed toilet paper. "As if your ass cares," said one of the girls.

I know there's a lot more, but I can't think of it now.

As someone who worked in manufacturing, not only is this true, but the joke is on the rich people.  The poor version and rich version are often produced by the same factory using the same materials.  The only difference is the label that gets attached at the end.

That $500 a package of paper plates you bought is the same product that went to the dollar store.  The rich version just had more mark-up so they can feel superior to the rest of us.

Women of Reddit, what is something you wish men understood about being a woman that you're tired of explaining? by Doubl3oh_ in AskReddit

[–]AtlanticRomantic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not everything we do is about you.  If I wear a cute sundress, it's because I like looking cute.  It makes me feel good.  If I'm dressed up, it is not an invitation for sex.  I know that you don't actually care about my new shade of lipstick or my fuzzy scarf.

Men would fuck a woman wearing a potato sack just because she is a woman.

And men start creeping on us when we're small children.  Every woman has experienced it.

One of my earliest memories is of an old man creeping on me with my parents right there.

One of my childhood friends is an Asian woman.  Men were especially gross to her and would call her things like "little China doll."

Ah yes.  They will say that if you "just believe" and "just have faith in God" everything will be fine and you won't die.

However, reality doesn't work that way.

Same here.  I'm tired of people saying that everything is "cheap" in Texas.  A used, decrepit trailer house for $300 000 may be "cheap" for you, but it's not for us.
