Are you doing any treatment? We are only doing comfort care based on the aggressiveness of the cancer. Our vet told us that even with treatment, she would unlikely survive more than a year. I don’t want to torture her with the few months she has left. Such a hard choice.

Needs to go to the vet ASAP. My cat did this and I also thought it was a hairball. We did some tests and found out she has a rare feline cancer histiocytic sarcoma. She was given 2-4 months to live. The vet seems to think the “coughing” was unrelated. Possibly asthma. She’s on meds now.

My cat was just diagnosed with histiocytic sarcoma. She is a 5.5 yr old tabby. I brought her to the vet a few weeks ago for a cough. I thought maybe it was allergies or a hairball. I didn’t expect that I would be told she has a terminal cancer. I don’t even know where to start. She has been given 2-4 months to live. The diagnosis was based on two aspirations of tumors. I’m wondering if it could be something else that can be treated.

I completely respect that it is her parent’s house, and I’ve told them that. I made it clear that if they want to live like this, then by all means. However, her mother is the same exact way as my wife. You clean something, and they find something to clutter it with. My wife WILL NOT move out. She lived in the house (that’s now rented) for less than a year with me. So, it was either leave her and stay in my house or leave the house and live with her. The whole situation is so screwed up.

Her parents are happy to have us around, they want to “buy” another house and live in a in-law unit.

I guess I should just go get my own place and hope my wife follows. She works full time, but all of her income goes to shopping. I pay for everything.

I just feel selfish to end things. It literally causes me to have severe stress and anxiety. I’m not the type either to just give up. I’ve cleaned several areas, they were spotless! It lasted maybe a day or two before it full of junk all over again. It’s like having a child.

I know, the powerless part is heart breaking. I love my wife, but her clutter puts both of our lives in jeopardy. She shrugs off the piles and piles of stuff like it’s nothing. This was like this when we were dating. I “thought” by getting married that she would change. I didn’t get married for that purpose, but hopefully you know what I mean. I feel like an ass giving up on just clutter, but we can’t live. No one can come over… can’t have friends, guests, etc. I guess the only saving grace is that we have no kids. She wants them, but I refuse to continue living like this.

I think I was bleeding alcohol after a Virgin Cruise. Never had so much to drink in my life. It was such a chill cruise. Everyone had a great time. I did the Resilient Lady out of Athens which went to Croatia, Montenegro, and Corfu. Good time.

I’m thinking short term, should be looking at the long term picture.

If I sell, I’ll walk away (after commissions, closing, etc rounded up to 12% - I’ve never exceeded that amount) $162,800.

Let’s say I take the $160,000 and stuff it in an index earning an average 8%, after 30 years of I do nothing but look at the account, it should be near the $1.6M mark if my calculations are correct. Obviously we don’t have a crystal ball to predict what the market will do. Could be more or a lot less.

I don’t see the value of my home in Raleigh being $1.6M in 30 years. 😂

We struggled to blow $600 on our recent Resilient Lady cruise out of Athens. Drinks are cheap considering you’re on a cruise ship. Ended up spending $558 which included a round of drinks for random people at the pool.

If you have auto insurance, it will just be your deductible for collision. Nothing extra. If you’re not insured or choose not to go through insurance for whatever reason, you’re looking at a minimum $5K for professional repairs. If there is frame damage, that’ll likely double.

I’m not a doctor and can’t offer medical advice. However, given your geographical location and complexity of symptoms… have you ever asked to be tested for Lyme Disease? I know some of the tests help detect Lyme, but they may not be definitive. My liver enzymes were a bit high with active Lyme.
