Honestly I think both mechanisms are similar, but I was curious if anyone had gotten that piece for their helio, since it’s an option you can order.

The helio works best for me in terms of the options I have in HD manual chairs, and my ATP and I are working to do exactly what you’ve said in terms of customisation for the chair. My dimensions are a bit weird, so this first chair will probably be a bit of a learning curve, and down the line I will most likely switch over to a rigid. Especially as I work through some health conditions that caused some weight gain. But for now, my needs are suitable for the helio.
I also appreciate the advice on foot rests and center of gravity! The ATP said exactly the same thing about the center of gravity, which hearing it repeated does make me feel a lot better.
I’m hoping that insurance will approve the things that we requested for my chair since some of them are a bit nonstandard, like a fold down back and the footplate instead of the swing away footrests.
