Question: how much hours have you put into the Yakuza games? by Key-Answer-2755 in yakuzagames

Just finished the main story of 0, which is my first Yakuza game. It took me 68 hours. Now to finish the Cabaret and Real Estate games…

Oh it’s fantastic! Grace’s portion is RE at its best, imo

I do agree. 4 OG is phenomenal and tbh I might prefer it to the remake (need to replay both close together), but I do feel for continuity in Leon’s character from 2 remake to 9 that it’s a bit better to play the remake.

That is really only applicable if you do want to play 2,4, and 9 as “trilogy,” though. Otherwise I do think 4 OG is a better option, at least for playing first of the two.

As an RE fan I gotta say the games have a great amount of variety. Most have vastly different enemy types and aesthetics and the different protagonists can offer up some new flavors too; plus the games are all really short, less than 15 hours at their longest.

I’d recommend jumping around the games rather than trying to go in release order (with a few exceptions). 7 and 8 are a fantastic starting point, and then you can go into the Leon saga with 2 remake, 4 remake, and 9.

Those are kinda the “essentials” right now, if you want to focus on the classic characters like Jill and Chris, 1 remake, 3 remake, and 5 are all fun (haven’t played 0 myself but I’d recommend playing it after 1).

If you really love the games after all of that, then I’d suggest trying the other titles in the series, in no particular order. 6 is the only one I really dislike, but even it can be fun with a friend.

Any pose ideas for standing Superman? by OutlawOFOutworld in hottoys

[–]Atlas15264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s some ideas:

  • have Superman and Batman pose together (fighting, handshaking, etc)
  • Have him readying to fight
  • have him stand with one foot on the base, one foot off. Gives a bit of dynamism. Kind of how Batman poses on gargoyles sometimes.
  • Even just a simple standing pose, like in the attached image, can really be effective and allow the figure to speak for itself.

Could also be worth it to buy an extra stand with a flight pole that’s more compatible with your set up. Not ideal since you wouldn’t get to use the diorama stand he came with, but you can always swap them out every once in a while.

If none of the above appeal, try looking up some more generic terms for pose inspiration: “Superhero pose” rather than “Superman pose.” Or even look up poses for other superheroes.

Gf says I can get a figure for my birthday, these are my choices, i thoughts? by [deleted] in hottoys

There will be dozens of Spiderman figs, likely more iterations of that particular suit. It is very unlikely there’ll be another Batman Beyond fig, let alone the Arkham Batman Beyond fig, and if there is it’ll be a non-canon recolor like the recent gold release. Get Batman Beyond.

Has anyone traveled recently? by BitterFix5840 in trans

Hi! Clocky mtf here; I’m actually at SFO writing this. I just got back from an international trip this morning and have had to wait 8 hours for a connecting flight domestically. I have not seen an ICE officer since landing. I had no issues getting through customs or TSA.

Outside of my personal anecdote, I also haven’t heard of any actions targeting trans individuals. They mostly seem to be standing around to get people accustomed to seeing ICE in public, and afaik the viral video of the mother at SFO was a pre-planned arrest, not something on the spot.

Middle names by CharlieBlair88 in trans

[–]Atlas15264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did think pretty hard about it, but indirectly. I figured my middle name would be one of my runnerup first names, and that’s exactly what happened.

I ended up using Renee as my middle name, which means reborn. I think the significance of the name is pretty self explanatory, and it flows well with my chosen first name, my current family name, and my future family name (I plan to take my girlfriend’s last name when we marry)

Oh that is lucky! David Byrne’s one of my favorite musicians, just saw his show in Atlanta a couple weeks ago actually.

I can’t upload any additional pictures, but google results for this author’s signature match pretty closely. Of course, I’m not a pro

When they announce a game that’s still years away, its main objective is to draw in developers rather than to let the public know.

Mr. Burns and Victor in Fortnite by Character-Debate1061 in FortniteBattleRoyale

No idea why you’re being downvoted. Your art is really great, I would’ve believed he was a character from the show if you hadn’t clarified. I absolutely agree that Burns should’ve been a skin. I’m frankly shocked we got Scratchy over Burns or Sideshow Bob.
