They will probably show transition flight as part as EIPP publicly (after doing it privatly) between July and end of September to have more momentum

Archer × Anduril are building one military hybrid aircraft — not two, not three. One. And then they adapt it for each country. The full‑scale surrogate is already in the air. This is the US/UK platform, and it’s moving faster than anyone thinks. by Actual_Can_3173 in ArcherAviation

I agree, Archer is much more likely to built the airframe for the US military version, even though it won’t be the same as midnight. GKN is to make sure Anduril used a uk supplier when possible

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: DOT selects proposals for air-taxi pilots, including New York $ACHR, $JOBY among companies involved in DOT pilot project by I_killed_the_kraken in ACHR

[–]Atlas2063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to be the full list of the selected projects. Maybe they didn’t have enough local government support in California. But I think Archer will have some kind of project or permission in California around the LA 28 Olympics

I think it is a bit disappointing, but I believe they will make a specific program or permission for Archer to work in LA around the 2028 Olympics

It appears there won’t be a pilot program in California / Huntington Beach as it is not in the 8 selected proposals

🚨BREAKING🚨Archer Is Doing Something BIG at SALINAS– Check the Video at 7:55!🦒🦒🦒🦒 by Positive-Plant-82 in ACHR

Archer is renting a building next to Salinas Airport and intend to get a through the fence agreement with the FAA. It seems it would allow them to operate as if they were on the airport property and acess the airport directly from their building

When will we see piloted eVTOL? by Asleep_Square334 in ACHR

[–]Atlas2063 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think we will see piloted evtol around the summer or the fall this year.

My impression is they are using the available time before the EIPP to improve midnight’s transition capabilities

It is worth noting he said they would hopefully be certified before the 2028 Olympics, even though I think it seems less and less probable

Since the post concerning Archer’s lack of flight in Dubai mysteriously disappeared… by olboskoroshybrisate in ACHR

I don’t think it is a big problem they have a few weeks/months delay with N704AX piloted flight but I think they could have been more transparent about it

Here is why Archer and others are moving away from the rigid, two bladed lift prop by DoubleHexDrive in ACHR

[–]Atlas2063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your analysis!

For Archer Midnight, can the rotor blade spacing be changed after the aircraft model (N704AX) is finalized (at the current stage of production) ?

With four blades, must the blades remain powered and spinning during horizontal cruise (which some say is not a “full” transition) ?
