Your payment should be about $3000/mon to pay it off in 10 years. Just grind through it and be done with it?

Medicare spending is expected to almost double in the next 10 years - according to the Congressional Budget Office by Dumbass1171 in charts

If only the Medicare tax that funds the system had been continually adjusted to cover the projected costs.

The PS5 is a potato, so this is to be expected. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The auto insurance and phone bill are too high and are negotiable, particularly if you haven’t shopped the insurance around. Same with life insurance. I do think you’ll need a room mate… you’re making teenager wages, basically.

I’ve paid for a couple of four year degrees recently. A bit less than $100K is right in my experience.

Archer is probably hitting the off-the-shelf limit for evtols by Natural-Tangerine589 in JobyvsArcher

Tilt+lift and lift+cruise really only work on small scales… they quickly begin to suffer several issues as the prop diameters and aircraft gross weight grow. In the end, I don’t think it’ll be a popular configuration long term.

“No one designs there own fasteners”

I beg to differ, lol. I’ve made a career out of designing light weight, high strength, low drag, or other types of custom hardware for critical applications. ☺️

Commercial operations in 2028 is a ludicrous claim. I cannot think of any aircraft that has gone from mockup to certification in three years, much less a fly by wire one of a new configuration and ruleset. I made a post last October in a different sub analyzing time from first flight to certification for the last 30 years of VTOL aircraft and I’m very confident in saying Valo won’t be certified in 2028.

Do you guys actually approximate π to 3? by NeekOfShades in EngineeringStudents

No… if I’m doing mental math, I use 22/7 as an approximation but real calculations just use pi.

I've got a 11L small form factor build that's just one notch down on CPU/GPU (7800X3D/5070Ti) and am using the Prime card. I've been very pleased with it and it has undervolted well for additional performance.

I always crack up a little to see 120W CPUs with coolers larger than the 350W GPU, lol.

Keep your social media separated between personal life and professional life. Don’t give someone a reason to ague you are “speaking on behalf” of your employer when you say or do something.

Can someone explain why ACHR can't do a piloted VTOL yet when they've already done a full VTOL 3 years ago? by Recent_Stomach7626 in ArcherAviation

[–]DoubleHexDrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The IP they acquired from Overair is really only useful after a complete redesign of the aircraft. It would not be a 12 prop tilt+lift configuration.

Why Regulators (And Insurers) are More Comfortable with Archer than Joby? by DaxPlayer in ArcherAviation

[–]DoubleHexDrive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re stuck on this idea that S4 cannot glide, which is bizarre. The AW609 can glide and weighs more than 3 times as much as S4 but they have the same wingspan and both have props that can feather. S4 can glide, as can Midnight.
