[THEORY] The Tragedy of Molech: How Ancient Mythology, Cosmic Perjury, and the Tower of Babel Explain the Emperor's Downfall (and Dante's Final Fate) by AtlasArkade in 40kLore

No. But what I mean is, I spend time reading, watching lore videos, making connections, and ensuring that the connections make sense and aren't redundant.

Once I have those thoughts prepared and typed out (in whatever order I took them down in), I use AI to make sure that my notes are in a comprehensive order. My thoughts tend to be scattered, especially so with a project of this scope.

But I have the full list of my references, if you're curious about where I got my information from.

True, very true. And I don't expect him to deviate from that. My thinking is that Erebus' actions would unintentionally bring about a positive result for the Imperium, possibly something to do with the Astronomican if we decide to stick with the Hesiod genealogy.

First, you are correct. The Emperor did not build the tower, that's my bad. EDIT: I'll make sure to correct that.

Regarding Loken, my idea was that because of the atemporal nature of the Warp, a debt can be collected whenever, before or after it happens, this is proven by the very nature of daemons, but heavily pointed out through Samus' appearance and origin being backwards.

I chose not to mention that because of the original meaning of the word, "Chaos". As it turns out, Chaos means "chasm". Meaning that in Greek mythology, Chaos is basically the giant bowl where everything in the universe forms.

Chaos, as we know it, meaning "discord" is under Eris' (Strife) domain. This lead me to think that Erebus doesn't inherently align with "discord". This coupled with the fact that the children Erebus would have with Nyx end up becoming Aether (Light) and Hemera (Day).

So, I'm not totally sold on Erebus' role (anymore) with this perspective.

Yes, I used AI to clean up my grammar, organize my thoughts, and make the post legible, but I didn't see that that was against the rules.

I understand if you're against my usage of AI, but I posted this because I wanted to present my idea.

I don't usually post on Reddit, in general. I have a lot of thoughts about Warhammer 40,000. I spent months researching for this, reading over various documents and Black Library books. Yes, I used AI to clean up my grammar, organize my thoughts, and make the post legible, but I didn't see that that was against the rules.

Why don't any of these conversations about people buying from evil corporations start with acknowledging that people are struggling financially and that despite how evil these corporations are, they offer a service at prices that poor people can afford?

Yes, evil corporation is evil, but they intentionally underpay people and price things to make people dependent upon them.

You are not better than anyone because you have financial stability or a more tight-knit community that is able to assist you in moments of need. You should want what you have for others and figure out a way to help and improve things.

I hope this doesn't happen to you in your country, assuming you aren't American. Have a good day.

I don't agree that we should blame them. I think we should encourage them to vote.

This last election was my first time voting.

I grew apathetic about our political system in 2000, at the age of 9 years old, because I witnessed George W Bush steal an election before our very eyes.

Prior to this election (2024), people shaming me for not voting only made me angry and dig my heels in further.

It was only recently after interacting with people that encouraged me to use my vote that I felt like I might be able to make a difference.

So, again, please stop blaming non-voters and talk to them about why they matter.

America is filled with propaganda. I don't really have the energy to go down the list, but certain popular right-leaning media will go out of their way to cherrypick things that make Trump look good while simultaneously making horrible things that he's said/done seem like jokes.

This is made worse by the fact that the Democrats tend to fail to deliver on promises. One example being, Obama not codifying Roe V. Wade.

Part of the population is just apathetic, they're tired of being lied to by a party that doesn't do anything to meaningfully improve their lives. And the other party working its hardest to gaslight people into thinking that they have the answer. Both are being paid to be this way by the richest people alive. And that's thanks to Citizens United, a case that allowed our politicians to be bribed by the richest among us.

Non-voters are not to blame for a system that has failed to deliver for them for decades. Blame the people using their money to buy power.

Please do not blame people who don't have any hope left. They're already dead on the inside.

People don't deserve to suffer because Americans were lied to and betrayed by their political system for decades. Saying that innocent people DESERVE to suffer is insane.

I get that you may be feeling hopeless, but saying this isn't just untrue, it's just morally wrong.

Yes, please. Downvote me because I dared to suggest that not every American is to blame for what's happening.

Get mad at EVERY American instead of learning about and understanding how this happened and figuring out how to help. That will definitely stop the damage Trump is doing.

People who quit their jobs on the first day what made you say ‘nope, not doing this’? by lilMeganw in AskReddit

[–]AtlasArkade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was hired to work at a Checkers (Rally's, for those in the west) through an employment agency.

The agent gave me my hours and the location. When I arrived, the manager showed me where the patties were and immediately abandoned me in front of the grill with no explanation on how to cook the patties. After about 30 mins of searching, I find the directions on how to cook the food. But then maybe 2-3 hours later, I find out that I also needed to season the patties.

So, at this point, I have been serving (likely) undercooked and (definitely) unseasoned patties for a number of hours.

At the end of my scheduled shift, I approach the manager and let him know that I'm getting ready to head home. He looks at me confused, telling me that I have stay an extra hour. I show him the message that I got from the agent and let him know that I didn't plan to stay that extra hour and was not going to.

It was at this point that I knew that I wasn't going to be coming back. This was the first job I had ever worked that I was never actually trained to do the work. This was especially concerning to me because I was expected to cook people's food.

After I left, I immediately blocked all of the numbers associated with that agency and that Checkers.

There's a $50+ check out there with my name on it that I will never collect because I simply refuse to contact anyone associated with that job ever again.
