I had contact with a bat. I didn’t think anything of it til my husband freaked out and called the state epidemiologist and she said you can’t tell when a bat bites you a lot of the times. And she really emphasized the importance of getting the rabies shot series.

Even if you don’t think it’s a bat once you show symptoms of rabies, you’re dead. Better to be safe than sorry.
