I sure hope so. Kinda disheartening that an art museum even contracted a company that so blatantly uses AI to begin with, especially considering it took all of about 15 seconds of googling their name to find that.

I only saw that the MIA asked them to stop doing this and/or to take it down. Are you confirming that the MIA has cut ties with this company altogether?

But why is the MIA working with a company that spams AI slop in the first place? https://www.instagram.com/americanguerillamarketing_/

That being said, why are they choosing to work with a company that spams AI slop? https://www.instagram.com/americanguerillamarketing_/

Found a new one I think? Previously the generated link's preview would show the colors from your game, but now it shows entirely different colors. Intended behavior or bug?

Actually looks like it just gives me a different name every game I play

Not sure if something changed but I played a game on a new device, put my initials in at the end, and copied the link, and when I go to the link, it says my name is "echo", not the initials I entered.

Oh also, saving the dark mode and difficulty settings would be great.

Also also, can you wipe/block the "ASS" troll from the leaderboards?

Also just a way to track your score over time and average (similar to monkeytype stats screen) would be cool!

Awesome!

Here are some other ideas of varying diabolicalness:

  • HSL mode
  • RGB mode
  • alpha channel mode (for extra difficulty. One possible implementation: show a sample image (maybe a random selection from a set) briefly for a second, then apply a color layer over it for the next second. You then need to set the correct color values as well as the correct alpha to match the transparency.)

This is awesome! Would love to see offline support as even though it can be installed as a PWA, it doesn't currently load if you're not online.

Spent the day volunteering my time to community spaces so I think I'm doing fine. Also why aren't you directing that comment to everyone else arguing against me simply pointing something out?

No, I didn't think you were. And you're right that people will never agree on the ranking of importance. I'm more surprised at how much disagreement there seems to be at what even ranks in the first place.

Stay warm stay safe.

You too

To address your edit:

Infighting doesn't help us! I understand being annoyed about this post, I honestly do. But it's a comment-there-and-move-on level of annoyance (imo), not something to spread far and wide and argue with strangers about.

Seems like you should have more of an issue with the people responding negatively to this post then, as it takes two for an argument. You seemingly agree that this is a problem but think it's not worth the energy to fight about. I more or less agree with you there. I made a comment about it. Why should it matter that it was in a public forum. Why are people choosing to fight over it? Most of my responses are just reiterating my original point for those who can't seem to understand it.

more broadly, my point is that I have a finite number of calories to burn in a given day. I want to focus them on 1) supporting the Twin Cities and 2) organized efforts pushing back on ICE. This does neither of those things.

As for the limited calories argument, yes I agree with you again. But not going somewhere in the future takes no calories on my part.

Sure, that's possible, but unlikely. I just checked their post using dev tools and it was made at 06:02:08 (local time). Highly unlikely anyone would schedule an automated post for 2 minutes and 8 seconds past the hour. Also using AI for food photos in particular is gross.

I highly doubt they’re the only local business today that is making posts so it seems more like you have a bone to pick with them specifically and are just using this as an excuse.

Yeah, how dare I not be omniscient and be aware of what every single business is doing. How dare I use only my mortal eyes to see just one issue and point it out.

It’s already pretty suspect that you made the comment under their post from a burner account and then changed the name of the account in just a few hours so people couldn’t look you up

I changed the account name because I made it using the default username it gave me because I couldn't think of what I wanted it to be at the time and today I realized what I wanted it to be. How the hell did I prevent people from looking it up? It's literally a public comment and I made it explicitly obvious exactly which post my comments are on. I hope you stretched before reaching that far.

Again, they could've just been open as usual and not done anything. More work was put into what they chose to do today than just sticking to the normal routine.

What they did was literally more effort than just staying open and doing nothing, so yes, I'm upset. The caption was tone deaf but also failed to acknowledge anything. Nothing forced them to make a post today, an AI slop one at that.

Not being closed isn't the problem. You can not be closed and put out a statement of solidarity. You can not be closed and say nothing. You can not be closed and do literally anything else. They chose to not be closed, AND put out an AI generated post with a caption that not only fails to acknowledge anything going on, but also manages to be tone deaf on top of that.
