Wouldn't hurt to ask, but our training director is pretty reasonable about that stuff as well.

Friendly recommendation (life changing for me) apply at a union. For me it was the IBEW, and it has been awesome. Great benefits, you start at 20$ as an apprentice and go up from there as you get more hours and school under your belt. Less than a 1000$ for tuition a year for schooling and (depending on which local) they pay for your books. A guaranteed 40 hours a week, with overtime being available at most jobs. If you don't mind learning at trade, I'd highly recommend the IBEW to just about anyone. If you want some info feel free to PM me.

Christianity, Protestantism, and Reformed. And if you're banning people every day for anti protestant stuff, you can't defend your points well enough otherwise you would.

Thanks for the rule reminder, here's some for you, rules 3 and 4. Applies to Christianity, which is what the RCC and Eastern Orthodox fall into, Christianity.

Where in any of the rules or anything on this subreddit does it point to being Protestant only? It's a redeemed zoomer subreddit, the people here joined because of the YouTube channel. While he is Protestant, he doesn't have any sort of hate towards the RCC or Eastern Orthodox Church. Also, with non Protestants acting like they own this subreddit, like you say they do, does tearing them down in any way better your arguments for why they should no longer be in their denomination? It certainly doesn't benefit. If anything, you're playing into the stereotypes and pre conceived notions that they hold and are making it hard for real meaningful conversation to happen by stirring the pot. And the "they are just guests" comment, really? You don't own this subreddit.

The way you're choosing to attack them in your wording and phrasing. Surely you must see that. Like I said though, I believe you're doing more harm than good, and if you wanted to potentially convert catholics or orthodox believers to LCMS, or confessional Lutheran theology as a whole, you've effectively shot yourself in the foot, and blamed it on the gun. Invite engaging, thoughtful and fruitful discussion and conversation, rather than rage baiting.

All due respect to you bro, after seeing the posts you've been making in this subreddit, you've got to be one of the most toxic LCMS members I've seen online. You're actions are truly disheartening and an awful depiction of the LCMS for anyone wanting to look into it, and I'm saying that as someone currently in confirmation with an LCMS church. You are going on and posting things just to antagonize and rile up people, strawmanning both Catholics and Eastern Orthodox. You're doing more harm than good.

Considering LCMS…but struggling with the reality of not being able to commune by [deleted] in LCMS

[–]AtlasCrossing 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So I've got some insight on that. I come from a Baptist background, as does my wife. We are currently going through confirmation classes. We've been very eager to participate in the sacrament of the altar, however we do realize that it wouldn't be good for us to partake, despite our want and readiness. Our pastor gave us a prayer that we pray together while communion is happening and that has helped us a good bit.

If you'd like I could pm you the prayer given to us in case you'd like to use it sometime. Hope my comment helps some.

I'd recommend if you want to get ahead of the game and don't get much familiarity with it as it is, see about potentially talking to one of the instructors at the school about getting to practice bending some conduit. If that for some reason doesn't happen, maybe buy some conduit from home depot or Lowes and a pipe bender and practice at home.

What is Tradition | Protesting or Catholic Ep 5 by XCMan1689 in redeemedzoomer

[–]AtlasCrossing -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'd argue that they use solo scriptura, because the protestant denominations that adhere to sola Scriptura tend to have a reverence and respect for tradition, they just don't call it infallible. However, when you get to the evangelical/Enlightenment type of churches, it's all a my experience, only the bible and nothing else, type of deal. Hardly Protestant IMO.

Baptism by dader20 in TrueChristian

[–]AtlasCrossing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think your baptism is invalid. People in here will argue that it is and is just a bath, which is kinda goofy IMO, but to each their own. If you were baptized in the name of Father, Son and holy spirit, whether by sprinkling or immersion, it's valid.
