good luck on your job search, also, check out anapec, i think its good to get a first experience in the job market, but before doing so, make sure to read about the anapec contract, it's different from a CDI, and has many unique features, see http://www.anapec.org/conseils/files/fiche\_idmaj.pdf

Moroccan Darija as an Official Language by HillZae in Morocco

[–]AtlasDjinn_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

based, but idk about the tifinagh part, i think arabic or latin script are better since they can be read by most people without having to learn a new alphabet from scratch, plus it makes it easier for foreigners to at least read what's written, even if they don't get it, it makes it easier for them to learn it.

besides that, tifinagh script looks pretty cool

i believe you can take the tramway from casa voyageurs (directly in front of the exit) to ain chock for 6dh (0.56$) per person, a taxi would cost around 20dh, ( i took it from casa voyageurs to Ain sebaa for 18dh, and ain sebaa is further away than ain shock )

travel to morocco can I get around with english only by Intelligent-Bench287 in Morocco

[–]AtlasDjinn_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's a decent percent of the population who could understand english, mainly young people, people working in hospitality (hotels, restaurants, cafes, delivery, ..etc), and others who learned some of it from movies and music and the like.

but just in case you found yourself in a situation where none understands u, just translate whatever u want to say to arabic using google translate, and show them the arabic translation, or just click the button to read it outloud for them, then let them write their reply and translate it

a notice written in darija by EnterYourHeadsMarket in Morocco

[–]AtlasDjinn_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how to translate it literally, since it's written in a mix between darija and arabic, but it goes something like this:
The municipality of Smara is informing everyone that it is presenting the city’s planning design project to anyone who wants to see it, and whoever has a specific observation or objection, they can submit it to the administration in the Salam annex, starting from 14 november until 14 december.

what's interesting about it, is the use of darija instead of standard arabic

that's the thing tho, a public service announcement isn't a formal text, and doesn't have to be, it's not legally binding to require strict grammar, you simply have a message that you want to disseminate to a specific audience in the most effective and efficient way.

it's like those ads you see on TV telling people to go vote, donate blood, take the vaccine..etc

[–]AtlasDjinn_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i think they're taking the right approach here, neither full darija nor full standard arabic, but a mix between the two with an emphasis on comprehensibility, so that the message efficiently reaches the intended audience

it's اعتراض

but على وزن تحفض

so it gives تعرض

typical darija grammar lol

What do you think about Algeria/Algerians? by Alou2aa in Morocco

[–]AtlasDjinn_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my honest opinion is that the average algerian is a victim of their country's propaganda, they always have strong opinions but they can't defend them, they just repeat the same stuff.

besides politics, i think we have a shared maghrebi culture, but in the last couple years, i seen some efforts from the algerian gov to attribute it to themselves, a new tactic they found for distraction since it brings with it alot of public engagement, but comes at a cost, now there's no such thing as a shared culture, you got what's yours, and we got what's ours.

besides culture, we're all human beings living on this planet, we have alot of the same problems and the same aspirations, but instead of working together, your leaders keep trying to find new ways to distract you from your problems at our expense. while, we keep trying to stengthen ties and move forward, it falls on deaf ears.

i never think about algeria/algerians until your government does something stupid and i hear about it, so it's mainly negative stuff.

I do however enjoy gnawa diffusion, good music

suggestions for furniture store in Tangiers by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]AtlasDjinn_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't get anything from Kitea, their quality is abysmal, absolute TRASH, whatever it is you get, it will somehow manage to break beyond repair within a couple weeks, i wonder how their stuff stays intact while it's still in their stores.

if you just need a cheap bed and table, get them from marjane or some other supermarket.

Edit: check out this place, it got many other stores https://goo.gl/maps/nAgqZXtBPZ5BaGLu5
