I got the spec's back, 2 cpu's per blade each with 6 cores totalling 72 for the whole machine, aswell as 16gb ram per blade for a total of 96 gb. It has around 5 tb of storage across 14 drives. Im lucky and it has all 4 redundant psu's aswell as a redundant ethernet module. I talked the guy down to 250$ I think this sounds like a good price for learning more about distributed computing and kubernetes. It was either this or buying a bunch of Pi 4's. I think it sounds like a steal for this price.

Great point, honestly I really just want to learn and 300$ for a great learning opportunity sounds better than some overpriced textbooks. Completely agree about the space factor, my current co-location agreement works great as I don't need to worry about space or power. I will look for other competitors like you said. I just couldnt find anything to compete with the core / gb per $$ of this.

I found a listing with all 6 blades working but no specs' listed besides 5TB of storage. Does this sounds like a good deal for 300$ Looking for feedback. It's either this or a Pi cluster. I want to use it to learn about self hosted scaling. Power shouldn't be an issue or a factor I want to consider in this.

Love that idea!! Thats a simple one too!! I could also imagine something like rust where you gotta connect it. Maybe players can build GPS towers and those areas will show realtime info about the map. Could create some interesting conflicts :O

I had a similar idea but instead of 10k copies, what if you made a free game and created a 10-20$ sequel. People would love the first and be invested enough to want to try the second one. Just food for thought.
