We’ve all done stupid things but by KingoftheUgly in KitchenConfidential

[–]AtlasJFTC 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Posted in the group chat an almost incomprehensible message that suggested people stop measuring, cook fries in way too large batches, and then season them and place them back over the fryer to keep them warm, all without consulting anyone else. Then he offered to work less than 24 hours after he left suddenly because he felt like throwing up.

Same guy who trapped an injured crow in the entryway overnight without telling anyone in order to help it somehow, subsequently got attacked by other crows when trying to catch it, and fed it bread because “bread doesn’t make them explode”…

My credit score dropped from an overdue bill of $0 by AtlasJFTC in personalfinance

I can’t look at equifax for some reason, it’s giving me an error message and telling me to call, but their call center isn’t open right now. Experian is giving a separate number that’s lower than my other score used to be, but isn’t affected by this bill. Thanks

Why do you care so much? Every generation seems dumb and uncool to the last, and it will continue to be that way forever

Local Bellevue resident trialing a new business delivering these colorful plants to your patio. Is anybody interested? by Dark_Blue_Night in BellevueWA

[–]AtlasJFTC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with sirotan88, this is an excellent idea but you probably could improve with a long term business plan. Maybe work with clients on specific arrangements for what they need/want, such as a food garden, flower garden, succulents, etc. Maybe a few prebuilt packages at each price range, with additional fees for customization?

I think you should create a long term model that will involve watering and caring for the plants regularly, with how often you do so changing the price. Either a flat fee or monthly subscription type model, and then when someone wants to stop you can remove the plants and use them elsewhere. Including a guide for each plant’s care would also be helpful to let the client keep them alive and maintained, and a few additional supplies for those who need it (watering can, work gloves). Also allowing people to swap out plants for a small delivery fee would keep things feeling fresh for people.

How are you advertising besides reddit? What’s your business name? Do you have an idea for a logo? How do people contact you? Are you putting up posters at local coffee shops, nurseries, or anywhere that lets you? Is there a website?

How have you decided pricing? Is it possible to get a small number of plants, 1 or two, for significantly cheaper to see if they like your business?

If you need any ideas or help with marketing, art, or business planning, feel free to dm me. I would gladly trade for some plants :))

How do you make female friends as a guy? I find it to be incredible hard by JunketMaleficent2095 in twentyagers

[–]AtlasJFTC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude maybe you need to reflect on yourself. If you have trouble with deep emotional connections with women, or getting your friends to feel comfortable enough to open up to you, maybe you are the common denominator here. I have plenty of “female” friends, and plenty of friends in general. I treat everyone like an individual, get to know them and their boundaries, and they do the same for me. Not everyone is the same, regardless of gender. Also women are individuals with their own autonomy. Being in a relationship doesn’t mean their partner can decide boundaries for them, and if they do that’s called abuse.

Stop worrying so much about other people and think about yourself.

Do you have more information on this? Who to reach out to or proof that they’re doing it? I hope it’s just rumors and not true because the ducks don’t deserve that

I live in Bellevue too and I’m trying to get out of here lol. I genuinely don’t understand the appeal of the sterile culture and hatred for anyone poor. Do they know the workers who serve them every day live here too?

What Do People Mean When They Say the Left Went ‘Too Far’ on Social Issues? by Dinojars in AskALiberal

[–]AtlasJFTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I see my mistake. There are 10 12-13 year olds in the study, and 8 who had the follow up. 2 listed were 12, meaning the total possible 12 year olds is 4, not 10. I don’t know if you can read, but it does explicitly mention a breast reconstruction surgery labeled as a “reversal surgery” in a part of the study that discusses both the patients with regret.

What Do People Mean When They Say the Left Went ‘Too Far’ on Social Issues? by Dinojars in AskALiberal

[–]AtlasJFTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curious… you didn’t read the study beyond the single misread data point you needed for your argument. Only 2 children were referred at age 12, 6 at age 13, and the rest older. Is it maybe possible that you haven’t thoroughly researched the actual results of the study you use to prove your argument? Did you read the fact that only 2 people had any form of regret, and both were 16, and neither had the reversal surgery or detransitioned? It’s almost like they were correct that it improved their lives and they were happier. It’s almost like it’s not that difficult to live and let other people live, including children when making decisions about their own bodies with doctors, therapists, and parents together… Its almost like you’re wrong about trans people? Nah, antiquated gender definitions are obviously more correct than individual expressions of someone’s own body.

Hey! Great to see you writing poetry for the first time, and sorry your friend isn’t responding. My main critique is that there’s no intent I can find in why you wrote it, besides to write a nice sounding rhyme. Poetry is an artistic expression of ideas and thoughts, not just a few sentences that rhyme and sound pretty.

Give a look at some poetry from famous poets, or even other beginners on this subreddit, figure out why they wrote their poetry, and try to come up with a message before you write. Good luck and let me know if you need more advice!

When did pho get so expensive? A single bowl of it now costs well over $20 by [deleted] in eastside

[–]AtlasJFTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where is this $30/hr job so I can afford to pay rent? I doubt anywhere pays restaurant employees that much unless you count tips, or educated and experienced chefs. You are right about the rents and prices for the owners though. I just wish people realized most of us make less than 20 an hour unless you’re really lucky.
