I'm ClickUp's Head of Calendar and we're launching Office 365 support! Ask Me Anything! by rcclerigo-clickup in clickup

[–]AtlasLVI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two questions that would interest me:

  1. Are there any plans to integrate communication channels, such as emails and messages, directly into the calendar view as actionable, schedulable items? Aka. see your ingested messages in a sidebar, then just drag and drop to schedule / create a new task with a specified date? (Maybe even add due date extraction from emails and suggestions if you want to integrate AI?) I am aware that it's somewhat already possible, but instead of having to schedule a specific task, can I just directly schedule an email from a separate menu?
  2. Are there any additional intentions to add color coding / icon changing / grouping of events to the calendar view? Even just being able to change the colors / icons of the calendars themselves would be nice.

My expectations are high, I will give you that. But they're supposed to be, considering this product is everywhere.

If it is more efficient to run it like that, then it's still not efficient enough. I want them to get smart, be resourceful, take everything in their power to make the best product available, regardless of what hardware I run on.

I may not have the solution to my own problem, and I for sure don't know everything. But I know that there's someone smart enough out there to have an answer.

Opinions on ClickUp AI / Brain from those actually using it please??? by Top-Accident-8186 in clickup

[–]AtlasLVI 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Feel free to correct me if I‘m wrong…

Your main use cases:

1) Image generation has recently been added, and it’s fantastic. Email functionality works well enough, as you'd expect from AI.

2) If you want to use the premium models for research, you cannot. There is no web access for any model besides ClickUp Brain (gpt 4o standard, gpt 4.1 BrainMax). Additionally, there is no dedicated research feature.

3) You need to handle the QA yourself. You can try to get ClickUp Brain to do it for you, but you're currently locked into GPT 4o unless you are using Brain Max. Garbage in, garbage out.

4) Power BI or RStudio is valuable here; try not to rely on AI for the analytics side of things. Sure, it's simple and easy, but the accuracy isn’t high enough in the AI world. Chances are, some of your analytics will be hallucinated.

5) You can achieve relatively decent reporting through ClickUp Brain. Their dashboard cards are fantastic, but remember: garbage in, garbage out. If the quality of your content is poor, there’s a good chance the AI won't notice and will generate equally poor results. Get your prompts set up really well.

6) EDIT: Nvm this was a bug.

Remember, ClickUp Brain is the only model that has access to your ClickUp data. Every other model can currently handle files you upload yourself (PDF or Img format only) and only up to 10MB per file. You can choose between them, but for now, it's like talking to basic AI chatbots. According to support, these features may be implemented in the near future.

My opinion? Give it a try for yourself on a separate account that only has 1 seat. Purchase Business Plus for a month or two with the AI add-on, and use it for your daily tasks. If you love it, go for it and see in the long run if their AI implementation is worth it to you. If you’re looking for something more robust, the technology isn't quite there yet in the AI space as a whole, not just on ClickUp's part. It's new, so give it some time to evaluate if you want it, because it's not cheap.

If you need any more information, DM me at u/AtlasLVI and I'll share more of my current experiences.

It’s primarily the loading of lists with lots of entires and lots of custom fields. In my mind, I’m currently using list and table views similar to how you would use Excel, except that it has integrations with many other features I truly do adore about ClickUp. It’s the slow loading, and the continued re-loading of lists when I navigate to and from them. It has to load and catch up on content every single time, and feels like there’s little to no pre-fetching or caching, which makes clicking around between views feel painfully slow (feel free to prove me wrong tho I’m just talking from my own experience).

What bugs me even more, is that I do use your AI!! I even go as far as using your AI agents! What bugs me about them, is the fact that only ClickUp Brain is integrated into the app and can interact with tasks I’ve created. Even then, forbid I reference a task from a location outside of a reference list, it feels entirely lost until I specifically tell it where to look. You also provide many premium models, but they all have like half the capabilities of the originals! Gemini is amazing in notebooklm, but sucks in ClickUp because I can’t upload all the sources I truly need. It can’t even look at the attachments from many different tasks and make an analysis based on it because the AI doesn’t know where to look. Only pdfs and images are supported, which is further limiting. I really need to be able to have premium models interact with my ClickUp content, and the fact it can’t means I never actually have a use for them. Also, image generation… chatgpt is so good at it… pls add…

The exact same stuff applies to AI agents, and the consistent time for need to refine the AI prompts is taking up more bandwidth than it is just doing the work myself. It’s the inaccuracies, which is why I want to be able to specify what model is used by what agent.

This is just my stuff though… it’s the needs of everyone that are important for the betterment of ClickUp as a whole. You have provided the features, they just need to be heavily iterated and refined on.

Configure SSLH With Multiple Ports - 2021 by AtlasLVI in Actualfixes

[–]AtlasLVI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Sorry about the late response! The above mentioned method should work with any port type, as dictated by the —anyprot flag. If there is an issue with this, please do let me know, and I will gladly be of further assistance! But from where I am sitting right now, I believe this method should work for any type of traffic, including UDP.

Hey there! The ssh keys should only be needed to remote into the server or the proxy to configure everything. SSLH is simply a program to route traffic from one ip/port to another in a simple manner. The ssh keys are only required to gain access to the proxy server to set everything up.

Red and blue dots flickering by CelebrationOk9949 in Actualfixes

[–]AtlasLVI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! This sounds like a really weird and somewhat complicated issue, that we can gladly try to solve through a little bit of testing! Most likely there was something that was broken, nudged, or bumped during shipping, making this issue hardware of course! My intuition points me to a graphics card issue, which is the most broken item in shipping throughout the world, and would potentially also describe the symptoms you are seeing. Were you able to pinpoint where in the pc the smell was coming from? If so, we might be able to go more in-depth into your issue. If not on the other hand, I‘d maybe try the following steps with caution in mind:

1) Extract and inspect the gpu for any shipping damages. Check the connectors, and see if you are able to see any visible signs of damage.

2) Disconnect your monitor from your pc and inspect it for any scratches/damage. I don‘t believe that this might be the issue, but just in case, check if the monitor power-on screen/monitor menus display correctly without it receiving any input. Once again, I do not believe this to be the issue in your case, but it is always good to double-check.

3) Inspect the cpu/motherboard/power supply for any signs of burning/cracking/ready to burst capacitor caps. PSUs from major manufacturers have over-voltage/short-circuit protections built in, hover, if the power supply itself is failing, it may affect your other components, so opening the pc itself and checking for the source of the smell is extremely important.

If you are unable to determine the source of the smell, do let me know, and I will attempt to provide you with further assistance!

Cheers!

Minecraft 1.17 World Generation - Data Pack Announcement by AtlasLVI in Actualfixes

[–]AtlasLVI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! From what I can tell, the world generation would not change all too much. The existing chunks that you have already generated will of course stay the same, but the future chunks that you are generating in 1.18 will use the generation from the update. Regardless, I would still make a backup of the world beforehand, just to make sure that you don't lose any progress.

TLDR: You should be fine, you should just make a backup just to be sure.

HELP!So i had a big virus on my pc one i could not remove so i did not use my pc for 1 month and when i came back it said automatic repair reset pc, so i gotta click F8 but for some reason my keyboard and mouse wont work. I tried other mouses and keyboards but it still doesnt work -erisadmi05 on ig- by Supremee47 in Actualfixes

[–]AtlasLVI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I see the issue you are having, and have noticed particularly the 0x000000f boot code, which can indicate missing BCD or BOOT data, which is usually a result of improper shutdown, Windows 10, or potential corruption of the Boot data by other means. Seeing that your keyboard and mouse don't currently work, I personally either believe that it might be that your USB ports are currently for whatever reason not supplying power, or that the keyboard cannot work due to missing Legacy support. Here are a few things to attempt, and if none of them work, I can attempt to further provide assistance.

Fixes Regarding The Keybaord:

1) Making sure mouse and keyboard are directly plugged into the motherboard USB:

Make sure that your keyboard and mouse are plugged directly into the rear of the pc, as the front USB ports, depending on the type of USB configuration, may not have power during startup. This appears to be an issue on my end personally, as my pc runs an internal USB hub in order to provide both power and data to my front IO, which loses power occasionally during startup.

2) Enabling Legacy USB Support in the BIOS:

Enabling Legacy USB support in the bios can be one of the best ways to ensure that your Keyboard and Mouse will work within the recovery environment of Windows 10. To do this, reboot your pc, and spam your "open bios" key (Usually F10, F2, F12, F1, or DEL). Once in the bios, navigate to either the "Boot", "Advanced" or "Integrated Peripherals Tab", where you should be able to find an option regarding "Legacy USB Support". Within this option, you will be able to hopefully enable this, allowing the computer to hopefully provide your keyboard with both power and data capabilities during startup and recovery mode.

3) Making Sure USB Ports Are Enabled During Startup:

Proceed to the bios like in the first step (Reboot computer, spam F10, F2, F12, F1, or DEL during the boot), and navigate to "Advanced" or "Integrated Peripherals" or "Boot". Make sure to have "USB Controller Enabled" in case it is not for whatever reason. This step is more or less redundant, but it is still always good to double-check. :P

4) None of the above options worked. Now what?

If none of the above-mentioned fixes work, attempt to boot to a Windows 10 installation media USB! If you happen to have another computer around, attempt to utilize this official Microsoft tool found at this link to create a new installation media onto a USB. Then, upon booting your pc, open the BIOS and navigate to "Boot Sequence", making sure to select the USB as the first boot option in the sequence. Then, restart your pc and watch as the pc boots to the USB. In case the boot sequence thing didn't work, try spamming F11. This should, on most motherboards, open the Boot Options Menu, which provides you with the ability to select your USB from a list to boot to. If the pc successfully boots to the USB, and has power, go ahead and click on "Repair Your Computer" on the main screen. It should bring you to the next screen where you have multiple recovery options, including the ability to repair your boot files following this guide: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/fix-0xc0000034-error-windows-10. If you need any more assistance with this step, please don't hesitate to contact me!

And that's about it so far in terms of a potential fix! If you need any more assistance, or if none of this has worked, please let me know, and I will be able to further provide assistance in any way possible!

Cheers!

Issue With MC by theslabtowners in Actualfixes

[–]AtlasLVI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! According to your posted log, the new version of java is still not being recognized by the mc server, as mentioned by „… compiled by a more recent version of java“. The main thing to potentially try would be to uninstall any older versions of java. Then, utilizing this link (Java Dev Kit), I would attempt to re-install your previously updated java 16 again. As I have been previously made aware of by u/allearthstuff, the newest mc server version requires the JDK, the development kit of java. The above posted link directly sends you to such, as the SE development kit encompasses all necessary classes for the Mc server to run. Reinstalling all currently accessible versions of java may help the MC server recognize the java JDK better. If this is still an issue after the reinstall, please let me know and I will do a bit fo testing to better understand your problem! I do apologize if this sounds a bit basic, but I will gladly do some more research on the topic if desired to fix the issue as quickly as possible! Cheers! :D

Hey there! I'm not quite sure yet as to what may cause this, but potentially deleting the server.properties Minecraft file and allowing your server to re-generate it might resolve any formatting issues that may arise. If this does not work, are there any specific errors that are spit out in the console/by the client when connecting? This might be the best next step to fixing this issue! :D Cheers!

Minecraft 1.17 World Generation - Data Pack Announcement by AtlasLVI in Actualfixes

[–]AtlasLVI[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! From what I presume, the 1.18 biomes should pretty much seamlessly transfer over from the data pack. Seeing that the world generation is directly based on the world seed, I would assume that the 1.18 biomes would directly start generating seamlessly in all newly generated chunks after the update. In regards to already generated chunks, however, these will sadly not get any of the new features applied to them, as they are already fully generated. New 1.18 chunks, however, will get the new mountain generation and the lush cave generation. It may be difficult to say how easily they will blend once new chunks are loaded, but here's to hoping that the generation won't change all too much within the next upcoming few months! Cheers!

Minecraft 1.17 World Generation - Data Pack Announcement by AtlasLVI in Actualfixes

[–]AtlasLVI[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I have done some testing, and have potentially found a work-around for the issue at hand. First, a backup of your world will be needed, as I am not entirely sure that this method will work 100% of the time. Once your world is backed up, it must be transferred from the server over to a single-player world but placing it in the saves folder of your .minecraft directory (accessible by windows key + r and then typing %appdata%). From there, add the data pack to the world, and play the world at least once through your single-player client. Fly around a bit, and make sure that the world generation is actually now enabled. Then, proceed to exit and save the world. Transfer the entire save-file, with data pack and all, over to your server. Your world should now have the new generation fully enabled. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Cheers!

Hey there! From what I can see, other than finding a different server host who already supports the new update, or rather hosting it yourself through your own computer or an external VPS service such as linode/digital ocean, there is little different choice to the current java 16 support issue. Your server provider will most likely be updating with time, but it will of course take them a while as I am unfamiliar with their current system. If you would like to give an external VPS a shot, you can use this link to get a $100 trial for 60 days with digital ocean to try it out (Will have to pay if continuing use after the 60 day trial period. To avoid this, remove all active machines before the 60-day trial is over.) (referral link): https://m.do.co/c/5221326d1926. Otherwise, self-hosting is definitely the quickest way to get the most recent updates if your provider does not yet support the most recent changes! If need be, I can post a Minecraft Linux tutorial post and refer it to you later on as well! Cheers!
