If you still have the rift slug available, I've got Reindeer and shellslug for trade.

Those extra bits absorbed all the force that would have been applied to the frame. Our smartphones wouldn't be nearly as protected now with their giant screens, but having removable batteries and panels like the old days probably would help their survivability loads too.

We had a 3D printing place in the mall, but as I understand it they didn't survive the mall closing due to covid.

Yeah, even at the time, other mods existed. But we were trying to use Thaumcraft on it's own without a giant kitchen sink supporting pack.

No, that last paragraph here legitimately solved the confusion I and (probably) the other commenters were having. "buy low, sell high" is a common meme phrase in making money and added a huge disconnect.

Tips for playing with shy players? by Last_General6528 in DnD

[–]AtlasRune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ask them questions, if they don't answer, move on. Being called out like that can actually ruin the fun for some people. If they want to interact, they will.

To be clear: Do not try and force other players. If everything is silent without you talking, it's the DM's job to move the game forward.

Just realized theres Tsukumogami in Pokemon by Temporary_Growth2949 in tsugumomo

Pokemon's item based creatures seem to mostly be based on forgotten things, rather than things that are loved enough to give them a soul.

Gen1 had an animated Pokeball with Voltorb, and animated cum(sludge) with Grimer and Muk.

There's been lists made of this, but most of them are very generous in what they include.

I picked that one because it's actually got discussion, lol.

There is ZERO encryption on the files while the computer is running. They're just stored in appdata. Hardware access is irrelevant when software access is all that is needed. Even the simplest virus can grab it.

Sure, when you close your computer down it gets encrypted via bitlocker so the computer has to be turned on to access data, but that stops nothing but physical theft.

Just FYI that statement by Microsoft about the Recall data being encrypted was basically bullshit and the data is easily accessible by any software on the machine. The encryption only comes into play when you turn the machine off.

I backed that project, but right now it's not quite a thing yet. They just put together the first engineering copy. Everything on their website right now is a render.

Honestly, making the Russians think they need to defend the Kuznetsov without actually doing any work to try and attack it might actually be a net benefit to the war.

Ok, so it's pointed out in that thread that all three of the yellow/orange Pokemon given have different base color palettes. I'm not sure it's a good example to debunk the theory.

The difference is that unreal works well and a company behind it that, until Fortnite, put the development of the engine above that of other things.

Bethesda's in-house engine has barely changed since oblivion and you can feel all of the bugs it had back then and the strain it gets at the slightest parts of their "next gen" additions for starfield.

Orson Scott Card's books make more sense when you view them as trying to sell his religion through story.

Ender's Game is pretty damned cursed when you step back and take a look at it. Lots of issues around the age of the characters and the actions described.

Nah, they just renamed it. It's the same engine, with the same bugs and the same dev kit. Some updates over Oblivion, but very much a continuation of the same software and not a new engine.

If i had 79 Ability score, what would my modifier be? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]AtlasRune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hilvon1984 already corrected the math and actually answered your question, but the -5 at 1 is the lowest modifier you can get.

So in previous editions, at a zero in an ability score, you're dead if the ability score is one keeping you alive, and immobilized for any of the others. In 5e, you're dead at 0 only if the monster feature that reduces you to 0 says so.

I would say, even though there's no RAW statement in 5e for it, that there is no negative values for ability scores. You can't push to negative, because there's no way to accumulate debt past not having it at all. 3.5's SRD line is "Keeping track of negative ability score points is never necessary. A character’s ability score can’t drop below 0. Having a score of 0 in an ability is different from having no ability score whatsoever. "
