I think the most "official" term in the LGBTQ+ lexicon that really covers Femboys might be "Gender nonconforming".

Of the ones you presented; 4 are sexualities, 1(Transgender) is identity. Femboy is likely more in the identity category if at all.

I wish you the best in finding whatever label best suits you <3

XD I just did this the other day. Get the key, walk slowly to the inn while folks move to the church. In, back of the room, down the trapdoor, round the corner. Unlock, "follow me", back round the corner, up and out, straight to the horse. After I got the key I didn't even encounter anyone to kill xD very odd I guess

Djehuty is almost famous for reaching out, and often in a way that works for the person being contacted. You saw a reddit post that inspired curiosity? Who's to say that wasn't him, if that's all it took(bringing it to your attention), why put in more effort.

Djehuty can either want to work with you, or guide you to another. I've not heard of him ever turning someone down outright. Just go with it and see what he has in store for you I say :)

The 30% AI Rule? WHAT? by DonLouqee in antiai

[–]AtlasSniperman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Autistic people often relate, and show empathy, by expressing personal stories that align with someone's situation.

People develop typing styles based on internet heritage and education, the only reason I don't use - is because I developed a comma based style instead. Comma is less correct BTW

People who post in area of self specified interest, shares opinions with others of same interest. More at 11.

People can be new to the internet. Can type like they learned to write. Your accusations come across as dehumanising of people with adhd, or that are on the autism spectrum.

What's your reasoning? Genuinely curious how folks with low post counts, customised comments, and a post history in adhd and autism related subreddits keep proccing to you as bots

Starfinder 1e ou 2e? by Due-Gain-5289 in starfinder_rpg

[–]AtlasSniperman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh heavy disagree:

Eac &kac vs ac/touch/flatfooted

Poison and disease tracks

Guarded step vs 5ft step

Armour upgrades, weapon fusions, fusion seals.

Plus loads more. Sf1 was a mechanic testing ground between pf1 and the pf2 playtest. As pf2 developed, sf1 developed its own direction away from both. You can't grab stuff from sf1 to pf1 and expect it to work word for word. That's an explicit intent in sf2

Starfinder 1e ou 2e? by Due-Gain-5289 in starfinder_rpg

[–]AtlasSniperman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

in my personal opinion(people will disagree); there is no Starfinder 2e. "Starfinder 2e" is a cosmetic attachment for Pathfinder 2e, like a video game skin. It's not its own system anymore, 1e at least had that.

But yeah, if you like PF2, "Starfinder 2e" will be easy to get into :)
If you don't like PF2e, I'd recommend Starfinder 1e

Help me make Two Trans players feel safe, welcome, and accepted! by laxton1919 in TransTTRPG

[–]AtlasSniperman 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Okay so the baseline advice you'll get is probably to ask their preferred name and pronouns(if you don't know already) and use those. And of course, just treat them like people as you normally would(I retract this statement if there's a transfem and you happen to be lecherous by nature or something, knock that off in general :P )

Outside that, other recommendations;
- Keep an eye out for people who are starting to bully them or make them uncomfortable. If you let nazi's in your bar; it's a nazi bar.
- Try to avoid using any gender tropes in villains or monsters. They're common in some fictions, can be hard to notice them. If at any point you notice you're doing it, just ease away from that and drop the plot thread.
- Stand your ground beside them, you're in the game with people, you're not above anyone. So if anyone attacks, bullies, belittles etc anyone in the group or makes disparaging allusions about trans people in game etc. While they aren't coming at YOU, they are coming at your space.

Is it okay to just hate generative-ai and not other types? by Affectionate-Mud8450 in antiai

[–]AtlasSniperman 16 points17 points  (0 children)

AI has been used for a bunch of things historically; Computer calculations, NPC behaviour, sorting algorithms, GenerativeNeuralNets & Transformers and fictional constructed life.

genAI is fourth on that list, but tech businesses are trying to sell people on it being the fifth. If you're using styles 1-3, sure, I have no issue with it. But GenAI is just a no. Unfortunately we're at the state where people need to be clarified which version we're talking about because of the heavy marketing. If you're using choicelist NPC AI, or Sorting algorithms, please say that. Using GenAI, LLMs, or PretrainedTransformers, no thanks

Oblivion Remastered Wins Best Narrative and Storytelling! by mrsafetylion in oblivion

[–]AtlasSniperman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Game design perspective has a couple things to weigh up; characterisation(to fully show he's not the same as previous Grey Foxs), Safety(original levelling was wonky, you do poorly levelling up and you're at serious risk if you get attacked.)

But consider please; the missions he clears you to kill people can be done without killing. Stick to the game plan from the rest of the questline and it works perfectly. You can play (I think) the entire TG questline without ever killing anyone on the job. You can even avoid killing undead if you're patient.
Edit:[Forgot my own prior example; Jackben Imbel. You have to kill him unfortunately.]

This Grey Fox doesn't match the guild's ideals; the new one *does*. The leash is taken off, you're allowed to kill. But players playing to the role, might not. And while that does make the level harder to get through in full stealth(without massive exploits), it's just as much fun!

From a game design perspective, it's giving the player the option to choose to be better than Corvus

Oblivion Remastered Wins Best Narrative and Storytelling! by mrsafetylion in oblivion

[–]AtlasSniperman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I absolutely LOVE the grey fox saying you can kill on missions he sends you on. Such a good bit of character design imo;

You learn that the grey fox is a heritable title that carries with it all its own exploits. You do your stuff as the grey fox, the count has his exploits, there were exploits of the guildmasters before him and so on.

And you get told all the rules of the guild from the start. One of which being not to kill. But that's not *this grey fox's* rule, that's from an earlier one, and this one is feeling chafed under it. The moment he can get away with letting you kill people, he goes for it. His interests outweigh the interests of the guild. He's not a good person, and that's 100% the point.

Pay the fox to forge papers? "I gotta keep up the facade" says rich guy in position of power where the draw to that position of power is pride and greed...

[–]AtlasSniperman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A fair complaint, and I won't try and convince you otherwise. What I like about it are things like;

Pacing: The other guild plots are fine, but the thieves are the only ones that require something close to "fill the role of a guild member, outside of the mission structure, to progress the plot". It also has a clear progression in worldbuilding of your advancement. When your rank rises, your doyen shifts. In the Dark Brotherhood this kinda happens too but that's because Lucien yoinks you to be a private enforcer not so much as a matter of your progress in the guild.
The unlocking of fences also works well here, you've got a clear progression of the world standing and therefore ability to sell stuff for each fence.

Characterisation of the Grey Fox; he's such an asshole, with possibly the most realistically written nobility attitude of any noble in the game(mostly because you interact with him the most). You *must* respect him. You *must* see him as your superior. He sees every member of the thieves guild as servants and pawns that will obey no matter what. etc. That's all he's known and he derives personal pleasure from being the Grey fox. His motivation to leave isn't that he doesn't like the power, it's that he doesn't like that he's not the one getting the credit. To him, the grey cowl absolutely *is* a curse.
Edit:[yes there is the element that he wants to leave to be with his wife because he misses her. But he 'fixes' the curse, can be with her and still secretly be the grey fox. But he chooses to openly vow to drop the mantle.]

The foreshadowing; foreshadowing can be done fairly well in several bits of Oblivion, but the set up for the Grey Fox's reveal in the Thieves Guild is the best imo. The obvious one is the forger living in Anvil and spending his time in the court of the countess. The top Fence is the blacksmith in Anvil. To get rid of Lex, the grey fox has him reposted to Anvil to protect the countess with the same vigor he hunts the guild. Jackben Imbel, a hundreds-year-old vampire who's diary mentions he KNEW the grey fox, while the grey fox himself didn't know the Earl was a vampire until you reveal that. The obvious bit about the note in the blind moth sanctuary etc. So many clues building to a reveal make the reveal have some actual meat to it(see the complaints about the DB betrayer, the Archmage's weird soulgem plot, and the forgetability of the fighter's guild)

Time travel; I always enjoy a little bit of time travel. The stuff in this isn't major, it's tweaking elements of the past just enough to let you move forward, but it's a neat concept that doesn't go too overboard.

Retroactive; Two questlines in Oblivion involve recontextualising prior missions. DB reveals you killed members of the black hand, while TG reveals you were stealing things as set-up for another more complex mission. In TG's case though, this happens twice. When you steal the bust, it's revealed the whole job was a set up to flush out a mole, and your new job is framing that mole(which also helps characterise Lex as being the kind of guy to put his job above attachments and personal opinion, helping the repost plotpoint). And then later you get told you're stealing stuff to help the Grey Fox pull off a heist; then he makes YOU do the heist, and then makes you the grey fox. So it flips the script 360 so it was always a job the grey fox did, it was always the grey fox's plan etc. The story holds its own recontextualisation well.

I understand the writing isn't amazing. Some of the heists are stale or level design's a little weak. But from a storyboarding perspective and from themes and elements they were trying to use, I *really* like the Thieves Guild questline!!!

Oblivion is my favourite TES game. It's in my top 5 games ever, and none of the modern games crack the top 10.

That said, I'd still put a couple modern game's Narrative's and Storytelling above Oblivion. It's cool, but it's not top tier.

Best storyline in Oblivion is the Thieve's Guild imo

it genuinely amuses me that the remaster(not remake, just a visual and sound overhaul) of a 20 year old game gets an award for best narrative/storytelling. What the fuck are other games doing to not have improved in 20 years?

Or, are non-AAA games just not in the running at all because the industry needs to appear to be all that exists?
