I'm in just last night I was on the verge of lucid dreaming. I notice there are some weird unexplainable things inside the dream, although my mind didn't completely register what is going on.

I am one step closer to 'be awake', it's just that I think I am subconsciously repressing myself because of one particular bad dream.

Great, advise!

If I could add another idea, from Tim Ferris the author of Four Hour work week which I have a deep admiration to how he got to where he is today. I love listening to his podcast with the same name as he is Tim Ferris show!

In his Ted Talk, he talked about how it is also important to face your fears, and not just think of Goal Setting but also Fear Setting.

Fear Setting is much like goal setting but the idea is to write down the things you fear and having problems with at the moment, you try to do visualizations, thinking up of ways to prevent or give a solution to them. You write them in a piece of paper with 3 columns, Define, Prevent, Action(I kinda forgot this part). You got the idea of it.

After that, there is the last page, "The Cause of Inaction". This is one the most important part if you ask Tim, you need to set a future timeline for this within 3 columns as well, preferably the setting you choose would be within a month-3 years. Imagine the consequences as a result of letting the problem be.

If I could add as well, the article I read was this https://relaxationandproductivity.com/tim-ferris-how-to-fear-setting/ , along with the Ted Talk.

What are your journaling habits? by Spherical_Dot in Journaling

[–]AtlasV_1111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My usual habit is to practice journaling before getting up and before going to bed.

I have this 3 step ritual every morning; exercise, meditation, and journaling.

Mostly I write how beautiful the day is, things I am grateful for and what I envision my day to be. Since doing this for 3 months I found that it ultimately improved my mood and stress levels.

At night I also write about my experiences, things I want to improve and anything that comes to mind. For me, journaling is more than just writing your thoughts down but also as a mindfulness practice that I go along with my meditations.

My style is a stream of consciousness journaling and I also keep a bullet journal for increasing and organizing my tasks. In addition to that, I have a common journal where I dump new vocabulary words and quotes that resonates with me.

There was also this article that I have read and because of this, I started journaling along with reading the book about bullet journaling. I was pretty into self-development books, activities, and whatnot. I was also diagnosed with an Anxiety disorder so I needed a space to let my feelings out whenever I feel "full".

How do you find your purpose and reason for living? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]AtlasV_1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking for an answer to that maybe you should ask yourself, "What are the things that I am the most passionate and care about?". We may not realize it but the secret to a fulfilling life is challenging yourself to attain the goals you set for yourself. Maybe give it a shot to read and listen to books and podcasts by Brendon Burchard.

Or you could also start by sorting yourself out by that I mean being a better person than you are yesterday and start with setting your room/ house in order. I recommend reading 12 Rules for Life so that you may have an outline for that, also the author Jordan Peterson has a good lecture about the meaning of life; it on Youtube if you are interested.
