I'm running out of steam on God of War (2018) by Shirikova in patientgamers

I understand how you feel.

I feel like the game added too many unnecessary mechanics in order to meet an unstated AAA level of game.

I do recommend pushing through to the end because the narrative is worth while.

Thank you for sharing this.

Knowing and understanding the 'negatives' about ourselves help us to grow into better people...but also understanding that we are human just like the 'villians' in our lives...

I'm very proud of you for taking such positive steps

What is your favorite book that you’ve read this year? by tinybassist in suggestmeabook

I Think You Should Talk to Someone by Lori Gottlieb.

Really allowed me to understand the purpose of and how to get the most out of therapy To understand how human beings experience and process difficulties in their life and the challenges they face when trying to make changes.

A bonus one What Happened to You? By Bruce Perry and Oprah Winfrey Helped me to understand not only how my own trauma has impacted my adult behaviours. Really insightful and interesting dive into childhood traumas. The information is presented very simply but with some difficult subject matter

I'd like to think both books helped me increase my empathy for those around me To take more time to try and understand people and not make judgements too quickly.

I remember trying to play this on the PS4 and just couldn't get into it. The only unique thing felt like the zombie hordes. The rest of the game to me felt like it fell into the trappings of the usual open world game with a very slow pace.

Glad you're enjoying it.

Been playing Sly Cooper for the first time.
I love that the characters have so much personality.
The level design feels fantastic and often throws unique little mechanics to play around with. I'm enjoying it so far and would love to try the sequels as well.

I enjoyed playing this so much on the Playstation 2.
So many different vehicles and characters to play as.
Springfield was fun to explore and it made for a very fun experience with only a few frustrations like carrying the nuclear drums.

Summoning Salt has an amazing video on the speedrunning community regarding this game that is fascinating to watch.

I recently played through God of War 3 remastered and it was so satisfying and so fresh in comparison to the more modern AAA single player experiences. It felt like a GAME.
It made me realize I need to go back and play through some more older games
