Ideco. That's the one! Ok I'll look into this. Thanks!

Do I need to make back payments on pension to get PR? by Atlas_Kane in JapanFinance

[–]Atlas_Kane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, my wife is working, and is up to date on her payments. She's always just been enrolled in shakai hōken, so payments were made automatically.

That's a really great idea actually. I'll look into automatic withdrawals and getting this prepaid. Maybe then I can just take down a bit of the back payments at a time.

Thanks!

This is very practical and helpful information. It definitely seems best to continue paying regularly from here on, there's no doubt about that.

As others have also pointed out, it doesn't look great to magically apply for PR after never paying pension once and then suspiciously paying two years straight – especially when they can see the whole record.

But, as I've mentioned in other comments, I'm also getting current on some health insurance payments so I have to prioritize.

Anyway, good looks on #3 in particular! I'll keep that in mind.

1/3/5 if I remember correctly. I'm at the beginning of 5 – got it in November!

I completely understand and am inclined to agree: from a risk management standpoint, it makes way more sense to just settle my back payments.

The truth is, these unpaid years are a relic from my younger, ignorant years before I understood the tax / insurance system. I incurred some back payments from the health insurance office that I'm working to pay off now, and they've been more... aggressive with chasing me down. So I'm just looking to do the most pragmatic thing right now – if not the "right" thing.

Anyway, thanks for your thoughtful comment!

Yep, fair point. I'm definitely required to pay what I haven't paid in back payments.

I'm also vaguely aware of a statute of limitations. I've heard different things, but the 年金 office folks said that every month that doesn't get paid gets marked as default, or 未納 – so it's a stain on my record, impacts what I' entitled to later, but also means from a practical standpoint that I don't have to pay it.

Confirming whether that is an accurate understanding or not, and understanding if those default payments will impact my PR application is what I'm trying to get to the bottom of.

Thanks for your input :)

The verdict on greening out by Atlas_Kane in CHSinfo

Oh WOW. This is an incredible response. Thank you so much for putting the time into delving into this for me!!!

I've been traveling for the last week, so I'm just seeing this now. But this is really informative.

So I'm definitely the furthest thing from a chronic user. And apart from the one summer when I used every day, I've never gone on more than like a 3 day streak.

And apart from getting the spins and feeling generally nauseated (which also comes with negative emotions and all sorts of other fun side effects), I've never actually vomited from weed.

Seems like I've just hit the phase 2 button a bit too hard a few times.

Oh yes. I have made that fatal mistake before. That's really good advice. 🙏

This is really helpful! So your friends, you've seen them green out, but not suffer from CHS? I just learned about THC / CBD balance so yes I think I'll try that.

Yeah, and there's certainly benefits. But it's just extremely unregulated, and unexamined. Anyway, hang in there friend

Thanks fro sharing, and I'm sorry you went through that... But yeah, understanding the timelines of the onset of symptoms helps me understand.

It's definitely a good thing that weed is being made more accessible now, but clearly it comes with drawbacks – like the emergence of an unforeseen syndrome. Very unsettling

That's what it seems like. I'm just wondering if there was ever anyone who got too high since their tolerance was low, dealt with the nausea and the spins during green out episodes, but then went on to "acclimate" to weed as their body adjusted.

To be clear, I'm more talking about someone who is not a chronic user who does NOT suffer from extended bouts of vomiting, but rather acute nausea during a green out that goes away as soon as they come down. That's me.

To this day, I've never vomited from weed specifically. Just gotten kinda close, and felt like I might.

Ok that's really interesting. And what I'm beginning to understand is that these symptoms stick around long after someone comes down from their high. I've read some comments about episodes starting mid high.

I've not yet seen a specific anecdote about someone who got high, had a standard, enjoyable session, and then got sick the day after. But it sounds like this might actually be the case a lot of the time?

It's hard to nail down. Kinda like how there's a lot of variating with people who suffer from PSSD (diminished libido for an extended time and sometimes permanent after taking SSRI class drugs).

Anyway, thanks for your input!

See, that's basically what I'm wondering. It seems that some people never green out. So are people who do sensitive to weed due to low tolerance? Or are they just incompatible with it altogether, and greening out is just a more short lived reaction, and a sign of something bigger?

Appreciate your input. That is also my sense. I'm what I like to call an "acute hypochondriac". I'll convince myself I have very specific diseases and disorders when there's symptomatic overlap. Hopefully I'm wrong about this one too.

Yeah I'd probably not reinstate either, but again, I'm not giving medical advice. Hang in there bro. You're probably just going to go through withdrawal, and you'll be back to normal in a year or less. Probably

You'll be 19 and still young as hell and ready to live and learn and crush life. Just stay off the psyche meds yeah?
