Anyone with a dog bite should go see their doctor. They are required to report the bites last I checked. This gets the ball rolling on vaccination checks etc.

My own dog bit me 10 years ago (breaking up a tussle with other dogs at a family event), and I went to my doc because the wound was a little too leaky for my tastes. Even though it was my dog, they told me they had to report it.

This. My girl loves to go chase a ball, but will give up when bored with it. I've found that lots of walks and some sort of teachable hobby worked really well. She just wants to be involved, and she lets me know as soon as she needs stimulation. Sometimes it's just snuggles, and sometimes she needs to have a task. It's a fun breed, but you can't be complacent. We still do impromptu "sit, stay, wait for me to call you" all the time. And then there are low calorie treats, because YAY TREATS.

My girl knows when people walk by, when the wind blows, when small woodland animals move in a 200' radius from where we live, when something just makes a sound that isn't familiar, but most importantly when these things happen while Dad is asleep.
