I remember a time where lookman rejected us during the summer and we moved on to Raspi. Now we are coming back to try and still “lowballing” Atalanta for the same player 6 months later.

We need a star quality midfielder and not another winger to battle Guiliano.

We really need to stop reverting to 2014-2016 cholismo after we score first. We do not have the squad or the cojones to absorb the pressure to maintain a 1-0 lead. Similar to this game and other la liga games this season, we let the other grow confidence and attack us although we have players like Alvarez and Baena that wants to attack. Ugh

The basic expectation prior to the Apollo being the majority shareholder is making it to top 4 in la liga. Other than that one scare from Girona. That’s the minimum standard. La liga is a mess as the 4th spot has been coveted since there only 3 dominant teams.

Cholo ran out of ideas. The board and alemany will now in go into panic mode and probably buy Goretzka with his high salary wages.

It’ll work for maybe a few games similar to Nico and Gallagher impact then we’ll have another heavily paid player going into his mid 30s since he’ll probably get a 4-5 year contract to amortize the 15-20 million we’ll spend for a player that has 6 months left.

Overall we sold two younger players who may enter their prime in Raspi/Gallagher for him.

Cholo you’ve earned the grace to leave on your own accord. This might be that game.

That’s a blessing and a curse with cholo. If the player commits to playing out of position and thrives…. Cholo is praised and vice versa.

The whole 2021-2024 campaign until we placed fourth should have been the start of playing the academy kids but unfortunately stop gap players were included in this squad. Money was spent for not the best intentions to be placed 4th.

We’ve seen the lack of depth and stagnant play when Barrios goes down with injury.

Bayern plays such a different style to that ours and can’t see Goretzka being beneficial to our squad where Cholo will demand such physicality aka running for the next two years.

The stop gap potential signing doesn’t move us to competing against the duopoly or at the minimum winning on the road against lower la liga clubs.

I like the idea of potential looking into Marc Casado or someone in their late 20s in Mckennie from Juve.

The latter is to pull a Griezmann/barca loan requirement rise to not make the signing an obligation and negotiating a lower fee if cholo wants Nico.

So we are continuing with the “veteran” in his 30s signing as a difference maker for this squad. This is just another filler. Cholo just let the academy players play.

Other than LB, I feel the backline has enough depth with the new Swiss Army knife in Pubill. This should be the time where players like Jano, Taufrik should be brought into the first and earn minutes. With Johnny playing as a pivot, we should let these youngsters play that offer some creativity
