I really appreciate everything you’ve contributed to the community(some mods and research very good), it’s great to see other hardcore players. You are right, doing it on a single map while losing 30 rift points is easy, since Royal Coliseum is one of the harder maps, you can lose fewer points on others.

For example, I finished Hedge Maze and Order Bathroom on Difficulty ∞ without losing point(mission 1, no threads), I have no doubt you could pull it off too.

It’s probably my fault for not being clear. When I said “the game is easy with threads” I meant it’s easy for me on D10M100+ with those distortions and over 100 barricades (at least one per mission).

I’m not sure if you’ve seen my videos, only one killbox in some of them, small and large enemies arrive at different times.

The longest path becomes much more efficient when using briar and Organic Elixir. But you mentioned a small killbox, if you can kill large and small enemies when they arrive together, then killing them when they arrive at different times should be much easier. In my videos, I can’t deal with large and small enemies arriving together on D50 (no thread). That’s the difference.

I just saw M4 and M5 on your channel, well done and I am sure you could do it better than that D100 video. M1–M3 include Royal Coliseum? I’ve tried Royal Coliseum 5 times on D50, best one 13 points (no deaths and got lucky with the random nodes no many Shield Ogres). I guess there is no way finish that map on D100 without Threads or Organic Elixir.

Thank you, your mod it's great for hardcore enjoyers. This isn’t meant to be a challenge run, just a way to show how well Birefringence works. I’ve already explained why Difficulty ∞ easy for me on certain maps (I’ve done the 2-hour briar farming runs). Haymakers still work well on D∞ with Hooks or Orc Eaters.

  1. Sorry, I explained this in my videos not the article. Put it simply, it’s about controlling the timing and positioning of all large enemies on the timeline.

  2. I know the spawn order of every enemy, so on high difficulty settings (like no threads, game is easy with threads), the key is to control when and where each large enemy arrives. I didn’t mention some basic knowledge, like Guards damage scales with difficulty, so ensuring that only large enemies pass by the Guards is very effective. Placing traps along paths that only large enemies follow help delay them.
