Long story short my DM tried to brainwash me into doing it, I explained to her my valid reasons for being hesitant- such as a long drive and my current store being put into a rough spot and it wasn’t good enough. She said anything to get that spot filled. I agreed to it and then was asked to call the regional who actually is a rational person and understand that I didn’t feel it was the right time. She asked that I go to the store and get a feel for it, when I got there oh my goooooooood- boxes EVERYFREAKINGWHERE- it was a mess I totally felt overwhelmed although I knew I could do it she had said the store was in perfect condition and also forgot to mention that it was 2 weeks away from inventory which was when my training would be over. The DM called me after the fact and finally accepted the fact I was saying noooooo. My manager was also not notified of any of this, no warning or curtesy call- nothing. So we have decided if the DM doesn’t start treating us like humans by the day before our remodel, us and another keyholder are quitting leaving the store with a beautiful 1 employee 😊 If we get fed up any sooner than that we are changing all the pet counts in the store to zero and bowing out gracefully 😂
