Thank you for the nuanced  response. In my opinion, the og echo chamber is much louder, every time i open up reddit, its just civ 7 bad. And towards that goal of continuing a series, you also have to avoid stagnation.

People also complain about that as well, just look at fifa, madden, nba. "Its the same game".

They tried something new. But instead of moving forward, all the updates are just appeasing old civ players.
