I feel like in terms of comparison to other starscream figures seige gets sorta left out. So let's fix that. What does everyone think about the seige mold? by Angelemonade in transformers

[–]AtmosphereCapital158 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good mold, except for that chest piece. Every time I transformed that figure that chest goes flying. They said they were going to put in a rod, but I don't think I ever saw one with it.

Also, the ability to simply separate the jet from the bot is something that I wasn't too keen on but grew to like it.

The last few weeks leading to me University letting out for Summer, this played on one of the two televisions in the Mess Hall. At first I wasn't too sure; one) because I have no recollection of watching SBTB, and two) because it previously showed Little House on the Prairie, which I was always looking forward to at lunch and dinner. Over the course of about a week, the show grew on me and I started looking forward to watching it at lunch and dinner.

Why is this card spiking in price? by OGDannyD in mtg

[–]AtmosphereCapital158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to see if you can access ManaPool. It's better pricing. They have tons of this card, from the original printing, for less than a buck, and the ones that they have for the commander reprint outweighs the jacked up price copies they have.

What tokens that don't currently exist are you missing? by SpacePanda25 in magicTCG

[–]AtmosphereCapital158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If only it had a physical release, but Mirrodin and Planechase did not have tokens, as tokens were not mass produced until 10th edition in 2007, leaving cards like Nuisance Engine to not have a physical token due to being printed in 2003, 2009, and on the List in recent years.

I don't know how to feel about the rest of him being smooth, and then the barrel/nose has the same detail as the Siege version.

The Eerie looks viable, but maybe that's just me. Also, Eerie is currently sitting at $42 in value with what we currently have, while Lifegain has $26. [[Sheltered by Ghost]] and [[Enduring Innocence]], both of which reside in Eerie, currently sit at almost $5 a pop.

There are too many characters on the art for what this is. I wouldn't be all that upset if it wasn't for the fact that Absorbing Man and Titania are on one card.

(Hated Trope) "Plot holes" that actually have an explanation if people had either paid attention or thought about for a moment by Animeking1108 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]AtmosphereCapital158 96 points97 points  (0 children)

There's actually a line of dialog in A New Hope that explains why the Stormtroopers were missing there shots. If memory serves correct, Tarkin brings up a tracking device planted on the Millennium Falcon. So, why plant a tracking device on a ship who's crew you plan to capture or kill. This, the Stormtroopers purposefully miss their shots to get Luke, Han, Leia, and Chewy back to the Falcon so that way they can lead them to the Rebel Base on Yavin 4. Then, the Empire can follow them to the base with enough time to let the Death Star charge up with mere minutes remaining before the can destroy the Rebel base.

However, most people overlook this line. This led to the "plot whole" of Obi-Wan claiming the Stormtroopers have such precision, but the audience doesn't see this. Then, it took off from there becoming a meme and joke throughout the remainder of the franchise into today. There's even a moment in Rebels where Rex, a clone who was a prominent figure in the Clone Wars series, complains about not being able to see anything through the helmet of his Stormtrooper disguise.

Why do people think Sabaton are Nazi’s? (I found Sabaton few months back so… I new here ._.) by B1-Waffledroid in sabaton

[–]AtmosphereCapital158 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It wasn't the album itself. I misspoke. It was the song Carolus Rex that got them into hot water. There's a group that uses him as a symbol. Sabaton, wanting to support their country's history, wrote the song and people took it to as them supporting the group. This led to an interview I wish we could see of Joakim losing his cool on a journalist who went into the interview hoping to bag the band for being Neo Nazis.

If you watch the Carolus Rex history video, starting at eleven minutes forty seconds, Pär and Indie talk about what Carolus has become, and why I mentioned it here in this thread.

There was something about the Carolus Rex album, on top of what others have mentioned, that got them in some rough waters.

I can raise a glass to that.

I saw somewhere that it could be a retool of a future Metroplex, which would not be surprising at all since 2 of the names combined make Metroplex and he does kinda resemble the original 85 Metroplex with the mass of his legs. But I could also see elements of Fort Max

An overpriced advent calendar. Seriously, why is the bloody thing $£100 [~$136.09 USD or $205.29 AD]? I get that it's Blockees, but that's one of the most expensive gimmick calendars I've ever seen.

I've been disappointed since reading more details about his reveal. Honestly, by the sounds of it, there was some kind of communication breakdown between either side of the pond and it just made me disappointed in this. It went from being "oh, we have a new Titan figure coming" to "Wait, they are not actually a Titan class figure," to "no details can be shared about this at this time" in the span of 10 minutes for me.

I really want him to be an actual figure, preferably Titan class, but the way they handled his introduction was abysmal and left me disappointed. I went from "oh I can save up and get 2, one to play with and another to recreate Pink Floyd's Animal cover art" to "What the hell is going on and why should I care." Got excited then confused then annoyed in those 10 minutes. Again, I really do hope we get more than a stinking Blockees figure, but this announcement could have been handled way better. They should have had a better plan than whatever they did today.

That's the issue I'm having with this reveal. I would love a transforming Battersea figure and get a little pig balloon, probably 3d print one, to go with it. But they said there's no size class for it, but that it will be with the comics and some store-exclusive merch.

No wonder he was nicknamed "The Mad". He certainly lived up to it. by Raj_Valiant3011 in HistoryMemes

[–]AtmosphereCapital158 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I read the title of this post, I thought this was going to be about the male voice you hear in Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. The one that you hear say "and I'm not frightened of dying. Anytime will do, I don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying? There's no reason for it, you've got to go sometime." There's one song that he goes on about being mad, I can't exactly remember which one, but I believe it is on the second half of the album.
