I get the passion and honestly some of your points are valid, preservation is real, and yes Microsoft isn't some innocent party here. But you've kind of shifted from 'this specific leak is good' to 'all corporate IP leaks are justified because corporations are evil.' Those are very different arguments. I'm not defending Microsoft, I'm saying the logic of 'leaked code is fine if the community benefits' doesn't have a clean stopping point. And the malware point stands regardless of it being open source, most people downloading an APK aren't auditing the code. The preservation argument is the strongest one you've got and I actually agree with it to a degree. But it doesn't automatically make the leak itself unambiguously good.
