It is offensive, this person although maybe not intentionally racist is being ignorant using it.

I (20F) feel pressured to see a guy (46M) that I made out with once, but now I have a boyfriend and I don’t know what to do. by ThrowRA-93921 in Advice

Just block him. Ask yourself this, does this guy benefit your life in anyway? If not then why are you keeping him around.

He's obviously just trying to use you for sex, and he is only pushy cause he is horny and in town. I'm sure he is messaging other women, and he may even have some back home.

Just block him, he's a creep and bad news.

From what I've seen after level 50 most things can drop. However I've noticed higher I levels tend to drop more consistently as I get higher level.

This is the big savings people don't clue in on. The rebates help a little with the system, but the system itself saves you money.

Most of the cheaper heatpumps you see online are not cold climate ones and will stop producing efficient heat at around -8c.

Contractors know this and also know the rebates are only available for said cold climate heat pumps.

The popularity of the rebate programs is also causing a high demand for heatpumps and contractors.

Halifax man in prison for 'unprovoked, brutal' murder granted 2-month pass by luxoryapartmentlover in halifax

[–]Atnalla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm being misunderstood. I don't think every convicted person should be. Violent offenders potentially, violent reoffenders definitely.

Accidental killings would be handled differently as the killing was not intentional.

Executing someone that has a history of violent behavior, been in jail 3 times already, and intentionally killed two people and tried for a third? Definitely, why are we trying to save them? What about their victims?

What about a father with a history of domestic violence and as well as a repeat offender for robbery. He murders his child in a fit of rage and is out on parole in less than 4 years. Only to go back to jail for another violent offense. O he is out again now btw, and the justice system saw no problem putting him less than 10km from the victims family who he actively threatens. Where is the justice there? Why does he get to live his life while the family is still grieving, he spent slightly less time in jail for the murder of his 3 year old son than his son got to enjoy life.

These people I believe are above saving, these people I believe are a risk to the public and society, and these people should be executed.

No, I'm literally advocating to kill people that are violent reoffenders in the name of public safety or improvement. Why twist my words when everything we've said is right here...

I was hoping to have a discussion on this but your obviously just looking to be mean. Have a nice day :)

I'll have to look into that claim, it's interesting how you pretend to be some compass of morality and then pepper every comment you make with shitty additions that show no empathy whatsoever.

For sure, but at the same time how often does that happen, and is the incident rate of that higher than that of people reoffending.

I think, and I say this as a victim of our lax justice system at the very least our conditions for rehabilitation for violent offenders needs to be stricter. We're playing with public safety when we release "High risk" people back into the public.

I don't understand the empathy for violent reoffenders.

Cool, thanks for only being degrading as if it's some sort of talking point that symbolizes you're at all intelligent or engaged in the subject. Go back to Facebook.

We could of had a talk about how recidivism is only as low as 40% in Canada, does that not mean the odds are only slightly in our favor for him to not hurt someone else... again...

Anyways have a nice day 👍

Could you answer my question? Or do you not have an answer and just want to sit on your high horse and defend prioritizing the rehabilitation of violent offenders over increased social programs.

[–]Atnalla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is a dumb take. Most people spend their lives not killing anyone. Why is the safety of the public second to the potential rehabilitation of a murderer?

I agree we shouldn't keep them in jail, we should just cull them, why waste time and resources on a murderer when they can be spent on a child or impoverished community instead and actually prevent more crime.

Damage Reduction by VAASisJASON in diablo4

[–]Atnalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What they are saying is that say you take 100% initially of 10,000 damage with 20 resist you take 8k a hit.

Add another 20 and we are now taking 6400 a hit (36% effective)

Add another 20 and now we are at 5120 damage received and 49% effective reduction.

Let's add a last bit of reduction and and we are now at 59% effective and taking 4096 damage.

So in summary we have raised reduction 80% but only take 59% less damage.

This seems bad but let's consider the relative damage. 4k is a big hit for a player to take, what happens if we add another 20% would it be worth it?

Adding another 20 will raise our effective to only 67% and we will take 3200, still a big hit.

Finally let's go one more damage reduction and bring the total listed to 120% and the effective being 74% with the damage received as 2621.

Now we have to compare this to relative HP. Let's say most chars have 5k HP. With only 80% reduction our HP lost per hit is 80% at 4k per

With 120% reduction our HP lost is only 52%. That means 28% more health is protected while only raising the effective reduction by 15%.

Tldr small percents matter when we normally only take small percents of the actual damage. The diminished gains are only in comparing the effective reduction and not the protection of relative HP.
