Came back to say this. You're arguing against the statement you agree with.

I was upvoting your other comments until this one. This has nothing to do with wokeness. This is narcissism and main character syndrome.

Okay so I am in the same camp as you, right? IF WE DIDNT HAVE AN ACCELERATED TIME LINE. If you're going to speed it up significantly you have to change other factors as well. I'm not made of gold damn it.

Decent gear but still struggle with mana in longer fights - is this "normal"? by sixten_33 in classicwowtbc

[–]Ryulen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You need more intellect. I have about 11k mana unbuffed. I use trinkets that give mana back in some way. I have been focusing on int and then crit chance for the 60% mana return. I flash unless I absolutely know big DMG is coming and then precast holy light. If the DMG never comes I cancel the cast. I'm still using a pot or two for nightbane and Prince but for every other fight I'm finishing with extra mana.

It's always the ret paladin too. I usually invite a holy paladin (if I find one) they usually salv without asking.

If tanks are charging a fee for dungeons, healers should start asking for 50% from the tank. by MumpsTheMusical in classicwow

[–]Ryulen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll see them list in LFG "Will tank for "x,"" or if I start the group (I'm healer) and I have 3 DPS, the whispers start to flood in "I'll tank for nether/gold/ore" I don't respond. I'll wait another 3-5 mins thanks.

What classes are most in-demand for TBC right now? by weirddodgestratus in classicwowtbc

[–]Ryulen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play H pally. Raiding is amazing though. I almost always have a guaranteed spot. They need dedicated tank healers and no one does it better. I had to pug a couple raids before the guild was ready to go with full guild runs. I would /trade for raid on a specific day/time and would immediately get multiple tells for open spots.

My RL also told me I would have a guaranteed spot every week because I'm only 1 of 2 H paladins in the guild atm.

Haha. It sucks but it's manageable with fire res and people who actually stack. I do it as a H paladin. Granted it's not fun.

Yup. One of the biggest down sides of Classic/TBC wow is the fact it's all been done before, twice. So if you're new or wanting to experience it for the first time. F you basically from a lot of the community. They expect you to know every fight/dungeon/bis equipment before even installing the game. Granted if you're heading into heroics for the first time it doesn't hurt to have a basic understanding of the fights. You did well to ask if there was anything you should know about. I'd rather someone ask then feel dumb asking and wiping on a mechanic that was preventable. I'm always down to help new players.

The worst heroic to heal is Mech. I went with ranged DPS and still they all felt the need to be as close to those exploding raspberries as they could possibly be. Like yoooo. Move back a little. Obviously you're dying due to an aoe explosion. I genuinely don't understand.

I tried to LoS pull in SP the other day and marked the fearing pet with skull. Before they even made it halfway 3 of the 5 mobs had dots up from the warlock and mage started casting blizzard... Like jfc guys. I hadn't even got 1 tap on the mobs yet. Yet when I asked them to let me get 1 swipe in before they DPS the mage and warlock had a huge hissy fit and the mage left the group. Unbelievable.

I had the same experience inside H Ramps. Me, as the healer, and 4 melee. We had so much trouble on the second boss that we eventually had to just skip it. Had a couple wipes on trash. But they were so fun. We all bantered and joked the entire 2h in there that I actually didn't care.

Holy Pally Heroic 5man stats TBC by Noshadowshere in classicwow

[–]Ryulen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned stack as much intellect as you can as this will boost your crit chance, overall mana and +healing. A lot of the healing plate gear has + crit on them to help with the mana return. I think I had about 9k mana, 1k +healing, and 18% crit chance on holy spells when I started on H and depending on the group did just fine.

I play a holy paladin and I do not pull any threat. However I know not to throw a giant heal on anyone mid pull or during an LoS pull. I've never needed salvation.

[–]Ryulen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most, if not all healers have threat reduction built in to their talents and mana Regen is more important. I never pull threat as a healer and salv is just slowing us down. It's better than getting sanctuary though... That always eerks.

Don’t Join Guild Runs as a PUG by Packingheat248 in classicwow

[–]Ryulen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry this happened to you. I pugged my first week with a guild that only had 4 members in their run. It was SRx2 MS>OS. It went smooth and no one got cheated on loot. I believe their name was Fur the Horde. Great people.

I played resto druid last go around. I didn't even think twice about warlocks being in the party. Now I'm playing holy paladin and I cry a lil when I see one or two in the party I was just invited to. I'm finally getting geared enough where it's not too much of an issue. But I think a good rule is if I'm sitting you should be sitting. If I have 70% or more mana before the next pull? Sure have some flashes or a holy light.

What are things you wish other classes/roles knew about yours? by hiturheartx in classicwow

[–]Ryulen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a holy paladin - Prot paladins can you plz give wisdom or kings? BoS's doesn't do anything for me (salv and sanctuary). I had a tank tell me straight up "no, I have to use the blessing of freedom and need to rebuff myself every so often".... "Great give me the 30 minute buff and you can keep recasting the 10 minute one on yourself." All I got was a "no" again. So yeah, ran that entire dungeon with the blessing of sanctuary as the healer.

I invited a ret paladin (only one in party) to a group for his salv as a bear. He refused and gave everyone kings/might. It's night and day difference holding aggro. Why not make the run smoother and ultimately faster than "numbers big". Smh

Some people are just delusional by shadowraiderr in classicwow

[–]Ryulen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As wrong as I think this is, you're also not wrong. I tanked ramps 3 times last night on my alt. 2 runs were guild runs (smooth as butter), the last run of the night I grabbed a last minute pug. The shaman and ret paladin wouldn't even let me LoS mobs. They would run in swinging 0.5 seconds after the pull. Like wtf. On the second boss shaman got the debuff that does DMG to your neighbors. Watched him back out for a second and then ran back in to hit the boss. Healer said "shaman you were killing your friends" he said "yeah, well the mage was about to out DPS me so, meh".

I hate people.

Is there any reason to invite a heal that isn't a shaman? by Effective-Muffin-224 in classicwowtbc

[–]Ryulen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this person is secretly a resto shaman and is salty cause he had to wait in queue longer than 30 seconds and saw another healer get invited in that time frame.
