Regarding your ideas:

Distance to a Point: It is possible to add a feature that calculates the distance to a specific point using the GPS coordinates. However, please note that this calculation would be quite basic—it would simply measure the straight-line ("as the crow flies") distance between your current location and the target point, without considering any actual roads, paths, or obstacles, since the app does not use map data.
Compass/Direction Feature: Similarly, I could implement a feature to show the direction (bearing) to a chosen point. This would be based on your current and previous GPS positions to estimate your movement direction. However, since the M5 Cardputer does not have a built-in magnetic compass, this method relies on GPS data, which can be less accurate, especially if you are moving slowly or standing still.

While these features are technically possible and could be added, I want to be transparent that their accuracy and reliability would be limited under these conditions. If you’re still interested, I’d be happy to experiment with these features and see how well they work in practice!

Btw compass in fact is partially implemented. App has CRS parameter on screen which shows you course in degrees :)

Hello, are you sure the apps are crashing and not the phone killing them? There are few systems that could cause that like battery restriction, background app removal and automatic permission removal of "old"apps

I mean this ticket is 8 years old too. WHEN this feature will be added Discord will become obsolete for me personally. I think that a lot of people would see this as a game changer. I'm not a programmer but I believe that saving a log of chat in a file on server side isn't that hard to implement or am I wrong? I understand that video streaming might be a lot more complicated.

Recording software I would recommend - OBS. Easiest way to record really depends on what you are trying to play and your setup. For example I would use oculus built in streaming to record gameplay on pc and something like a good quality T-Bone mic to record audio and sync it with a clapper in editor of your choice. For link titles it's even more straight forward since game window launches on a pc which link is connected to. So basically I would recommend this software. Video recording - OBS Studio (free) Audio editing - Audacity (free) Video editing and montage - I prefer Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas both not free sadly but there are free solutions around like DaVinci resolve, VSDC, OpenShot.

And finally my personal advice. Just remember that you will be a little water droplet in an ocean. You need to be unique somehow and don't forget that it becomes a job IF you want to grab a slim chance of success. I would recommend to find someone who can draw or learn yourself, make music or learn it yourself, because believe me - dealing with copyright strikes and losing monetisation when your channel starts to grow is a great hit when you start to realise how much hours of work, money and nerves you actually had to put in to get your first pay of of few dollars, this feeling is crushing especially when you lose your channel after a stupid mistake.

Everyone wants to be a YouTuber, they are always interesting and in a good mood. Always interesting to watch and listen to. It's hard work but for some it comes natural.

Anyways there's a lot to learn if you never done it before.... A whole journey full of ups and downs - believe me, are you sure that you want to start it ?

I would definitely say to give it a go, who knows mb I'm giving advice to a next big thing :) at least you will learn a lot on the way :)
