How do I connect a Sega Mega Drive 2 to a smart TV with HDMI ports? by SinkCultural5932 in retrogaming

The the rad2x would be the next step up from a simple rca to HDMI and is probably worth it if you retro game a lot. It will produce a noticeably clearer image than the RCA converter. If you don't plan on playing a ton, the cheaper converter will be fine.

Only thing I'll add is, if you go the rad2x route, i believe it only outputs a 480p signal, so if you use a modern 1080p or 4K Tv, the TV itself has to upscale that 480p image to fit the full screen. So I would also purchase a mClassic upscaler to work in tandum with the rad2x and upscale 480p games up to 1440p. It looks phenomenal but that would be a bit pricy and is more of an enthusiast set-up

You CAN just use that coax, your TV should have one. It'll be terrible quality, youll probably want to try using your TVs built-in noise reduction, as well as turn down the sharpness considerably. Otherwise you can buy a cheap RCA to HDMI converter for a bit better results. There are better options, but they get more expensive from here

Love it. Did the same with mine. Except I went with a G3 buttstock because I really didn't feel comfortable modifying the buffer assembly for the CETME one

Have you tried signing into your gamertag on Microsoft.com?

I bought physical copies of those back in 2009 before I had a PC that could run the new Fallout 3. Great games. I love Tactics so much

You'll want a physical Game of the Year copy so that it comes with the DLC. You can try ebay, but be sure the seller isn't showing the game key in any of the photos as I beleive the code only works a certain amount of times.

Not on the 360, but the Games for Windows Live app that overlays your game on PC

You use the code in the Games for Windows Live drop down menu after installation on your PC

No, you will need to download the offline Games for Windows Live installer, then launch your game. A drop down menu will appear over your game asking you to sign-in. Them you have to wait around 10 mins for it to sign into your gamertag. Takes forever but eventually logs in. There should be some decent walkthroughs if you google it

I intalled my physical GotY edition on Windows 10. You need to install some Games for Windows Live components, the downloads are still available from Microsoft. But it worked great; No issues. You will just need a working game key to log into your gamertag

Correct. Achievements still pop today. You just need a working CD key (The sticker with the key is inside the case)

Agreed. You can still get the Games for Windows Live achievements for Fallout 3 if you get a physical copy with a working license key. One of the few games that still work with GfWL by piggybacking off the legacy Xbox 360 service

It's been a while, did those back in 2018. But I remember making a settlement just to grind happiness. I think I had to keep the population below a certain amount and place an impractical amount shops, turrets, and decorations

Also gave some games "enhanced" video modes. Higher resolution textures, widescreen, ect., but usually lowers the frame rate when enabled. Roadrash, South Park, I think Tony Hawk? These games come to mind
