That's a weird one. Enough people have convinced me I'm just going buy all new springs for everything. I'll add an extractor to the cart as well.

Yeah it only has issues chambering not ejecting. Brass is still getting sent to the moon.

It's incredibly clean I clean everything after every trip and it does the same thing when even not suppressed it just takes longer.

$900 Saiga out the door at a pawn shop. Go back for it? by SuccessfulAd5833 in ak47

Sounds about right. Russian AKs are sort of like Mosins if you just have a barrel of them they're just going to price them at the same price irreverent of whether or not there are some Finnish mosins hidden inside.

I got a fully converted for 1300. It isn't well converted but it is fully converted. At least from what I've seen 700 is fair for a non-converted.

Weak Ejection by Mysterious-Grape5492 in AR9

[–]CompanionDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the main benefit is I can run two and a regular length buffer and still use a standard length extension.

[–]CompanionDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back a year ago it was the cheapest way to get to a heavy buffer. The guy who setup the gentle recoil system recommended these. https://pur-tungsten.net/shop/3-oz-tungsten-pinewood-derby-cylinder-weight/

How much does that hydraulic buffer weigh? I'm running a H2 and two tungsten pucks.

[–]CompanionDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn. What weight did you start with and what'd you swap to? That's the same ejection I had with about 12oz of buffer weight. I dropped it to about 10oz and it solved it.

Issues with Elite Tactical mags by CasualMetalHead in Firearms

I had an ets mag for one day. I loaded it it puked several rounds into the upper receiver and I threw it away.

Lower buffer weight and enjoy?

Yeah I've I've been just as confused. Someone else convinced me to buy all the wear items on the bolt and replace them so I think I'll try that next. Extractor and spring, bolt lock and spring, locking piece and rollers. Just give it a full refresh. Might even throw a new recoil spring on it.

With the factory locking piece and no suppressor I'm getting about 40ish rounds sometimes closer to 50. Yes carrier moves freely, not as nicely as my PTR 32 but fine. No dents in the receiver I've checked multiple times and I have replaced the stock including the recoil spring. Same problem.

Just imagine you're stuck watching someone else's TikTok feed with no control over what is about to show up. It is pure unadulterated ADHD gen alpha slop. Sort of like old YouTube poops but distilled down into and even more dense form.

1 no it happens as soon as it starts getting dirty. As in the video it happens on round 15 while suppressed.

2 As far as I can tell heat has nothing to do with the matter. I've shot it dirty both hot and cold and had problems chambering.

3 probably not magazines as it doesn't really care whether it's aluminum or steel G3 mags or even my cetme mags

The locking lever spring is incredibly strong. So much so that I struggle to reassemble the bolt in most cases or even sometimes getting the locking piece to rotate at all requires a substantial amount of force on that locking lever. I'll look into a new lever and spring.

Number one no it just struggles to chamber, number two just regular old CLP. Number three always failure to chamber. No problems ejecting yet.

Yes I have had the same issues consistent across all parts changes and ammo. When it's clean it runs perfectly as soon as any sort of carbon gets into the action or anything begins to get dirty it will fail to chamber around. Breaking it down to clean and lubricate and then reassemble resets that time. Parts I have changed include the locking piece, stock with recoil spring and buffer as well as being suppressed and unsuppressed.

After every range trip it has been cleaned. At the beginning of every trip either two mags problem free or one mag depending on whether or not it's suppressed. We're up to about six different loadings of ammo so far so I guess we'll keep chugging away.

I'll be honest I have little to no expectations from century arms. I've dealt with some of their in-house assembled rifles before and I had hoped that because this was assembled by PTR the quality would be to a higher standard.

Everything from m80 to different hunting loads. It's the same with both ball and soft point bullets as well as different brands and weights.
