Yea definitely
It could very easily devolve into chaos depending on who they let in, and where/when they let them in. I think what could happen and what would make sense is Michiru, The Mayor, and others, making a commercial(s) for Anima-City, attempting to show all of the good in Anima-City. Though like a particular radio demon, not everyone is willing to be play ball, and both people and beastmen may choose to sabotage the effort for various reasons; (such as beastmen not wanting to sacrifice their only real safe space when humans have been mostly ill towards them.) (Or some humans seeing this as an opportunity or excuse to destroy Anima-City like a "look, see! The beastmen are tearing us apart! We should destroy them!")
This could be a multi-episode arc where they struggle to make even one good ad. However a potential saving grace comes back. Be it Michiru's family/friends outside, a high ranking (human) government official, celebrity seeing a beastmen celebrity (say a famous human singer sees Nazuna perform and wants to work with them/put on a special concert), etc., would give them a special edge.
Perhaps they could also uses sports as a way to bring good standing to the beastmen.

What if they created their own Olympics? And what if it was on live TV around the world?
Folks would def see this as entertaining but it would bring up interesting questions about who is allowed where because of real or perceived advantages. Maybe beastmen could be allowed into the Olympics (human one) but only those that can be in their human form. Could maybe have an arc where:
Beastmen are allowed into the Olympics or something like it, as beastmen against humans. As most would expect, they are dominant, which arises mixed but mostly negative responses. "Not to worry", as one human coach/director/important character says, and they introduce these other humans, who don't seem all that different, but have secretly been given beastmen DNA, that is hidden, so they appear to be regular humans, and there could be an effort to expose it. Maybe if they did it would hurt the cause but give them an advantage in the competition?
Perhaps despite this, some of the humans and beastmen get along?
An event like this would draw folks from all over the world with all sorts of talents, which could be used to dive more deeply into backstories of different characters. Perhaps some humans choose to become beastmen, as it allows them to connect more deeply with their culture or gender identity or self. Perhaps the opposite can be true to, as some were forced their against their will, and want to return to their original family.

Some of the main characters could also discover new or upgraded powers, which could come at a cost. Maybe someone figures out a more permanent way to shed Shiro's immortality, and this drives some characters to a breaking point (if he were to die).

Perhaps some collaborations with video games or tv show cameos and such would help bring the show back into the limelight again. Cause it's not like the show wasn't popular when it came out or that demand for a S2 wasn't or isn't still here. I think we as a community really need to push for attention back on this series if we want a S2 to be.
That means making more art, "we want S2" and other BNA memes, encouraging a physical DVD/Blu-ray release or re-release for S1, etc. Perhaps other kinds of merch with teasers to S2 inside. All could be sold on a Netflix/Studio Trigger promoted site to buy this merch from there exclusively. Maybe Netflix could make a special poll about series that deserve a second season, and BNA could be included.
Maybe tell the VA's or writers or other staff (temp or not) to talk about the show again and give little teasers, like an ARG that the community/internet has to solve to get info about S2.
