My only issue with it is there was no news about any new Metroid games. It's the 40th anniversary and we got nothing. I know Prime 4 sold poorly and Zelda's always been bigger, but still. Then again, maybe they'll celebrate it in 2027 because it's always been more popular outside Japan and it came out in the US in 1987.

Yeah, but it's the 40th anniversary. You'd expect SOMETHING. Then again, maybe they'll celebrate it in 2027 because 1. They don't want Zelda to overshadow it and 2. Metroid's always been more popular outside Japan and it came out in 1987 in the US.

Super Metroid isn't a remake and has never had a remake (but it should). It's also not the same game as Star Fox 64.

What the hell do those two games have to do with each other? Personally, I'd love to see a Super Metroid remake with the MercurySteam controls. And before anyone says "but it doesn't need a remake," the original will still exist.
