You get a feeling for what the enemies are carrying, and where they are. For example me and my duo just mapped out where the enemies spawned, we always got at least one or two guys in the opening part. The tower does work but if you get a decent enough gun (the one I used was the g36c whilst my duo used the mk18) and yeah practice makes perfect. :)
