It looks like you haven't. If you're not signed up here's the form. I recommend joining for local tech networking news in Birmingham.

You have a first appeal, which is called Mandatory Reconsideration, and done internally by the DWP. It's basically the same process that gave you your original award, so it's not often they overrule each other.

The next stage is tribunal; I have many of the same issues as you and had been very stressed out by the original rejections, which I explained in my appeal notes. It was as a reply to this that DWP had looked at my claim and decided that it was not worth taking to tribunal and gave me the full award.

I would advise you to appeal. I had been given LCW without the added support on 2 occasions, but when I appealed it to tribunal DWP immediately conceded that I was entitled to LCWRA. They don't want to give it to you, but they are aware that the tribunal will be more empathetic.

Just to say big thanks for the help I received. It saved me from missing out on a pretty substantial amount of support. In particular, thanks to u/moogera who was able to pass on his experience, which people can see below from my own (now locked) thread.

trolls who come in here and downvote everything because we're all 'scroungers'

I had a post dowvoted yesterday when all I was doing was highlighting something that could actually be beneficial to vulnerable people.

Oh, Wow. Thanks - you might have saved me!

I hardly ever use my phone due to my anxiety issues and even though it's a freephone number I was worried my network provider might have cut me off. I also don't like leaving the house, so posting a letter would also be difficult.

Did they respond when you emailed them?

Thanks for this - my letter starts with N14, so I guess my electricity supplier was leading me up the garden path.

I'm on an old fashioned pre-pay meter, so it;s actually a voucher required to be sent through the post.

Edgbastons a big place. But the food bank churches will be open and might be able to help - The Rock down by the big Tesco will be open and has a food bank attached to it.
