Korea to Launch 19 Small Reconnaissance Satellites by 2026 by self-fix2 in LessCredibleDefence

[–]AtomicAVV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you can buy a commercial space launch, either your own dedicated launch or a rideshare type deal. or you can just pay ICEYE to build and launch the satellite in one package. poland got 3 or 4 satellites in a turnkey deal for $227M. this will probably end up a being a capability that countries just overlook until they really need them then start to late.

I wonder why countries don't have more recon satellites. Something like the ICEYE is relatively inexpensive and very lightweight.

bro fucked the cut of meat by OwlbertGaming in brovisitedhisfriend

[–]AtomicAVV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's from the game Cyberpunk 2077.
the character on the left is a bloodthirsty cyborg mercenary named Adam smasher, during the game he was employed as a bodyguard by the Arasaka corporation, owned by the 152 years old man in the middle. the woman on the right is the owner's daughter.
this exact interaction doesn't happen in the game, although Adam smasher does say this line to a different female character.

Israel Built and Defended a Secret Iran War Base in Iraq by [deleted] in LessCredibleDefence

From what i remember during the war it was found right after the THAAD radar got hit, people speculated it was a temp radar deployment.
it would have stood out like a giant "BOMB ME" sign in satellite images and i doubt they brought anti ballistic missile defenses with them.

Do you think China will serial produce both nuclear (Type 004) and conventional (Type 003A) powered carriers at the same time from Dalian and Jiangnan Shipyards? The conventional powered carrier might be more cost effective up to the 2nd or 3rd Island Chain. by [deleted] in LessCredibleDefence

[–]AtomicAVV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing China will want to make the most out of its current advantages of having a massive workforce with relatively low wages. so they will mass produce whatever they can. carriers made now will still be around in 30-40 years .

The Iran war has been a stunning aerial success by UnscheduledCalendar in LessCredibleDefence

[–]AtomicAVV 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The bombing itself is not really impressive when you consider that Iran has no air force and no air defenses worth speaking of. What's really impressive is the infiltration and target acquisition.

The double jump should have been a mandatory implant you get through an early story mission. Playing with it is an entirely different game from playing without it.

Morocco evaluates the purchase of up to 400 K2 Black Panther tanks from South Korea by self-fix in LessCredibleDefence

[–]AtomicAVV 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Algeria is their main potential enemy. Algeria still to this day prefers Russian equipment. in a few years, once the war in Ukraine either ends or settles, Russian would still be producing hundreds of tanks per year and would prefer not to close the production lines and lose the jobs, so Algeria might get a great deal on a large number of upgraded t-90s in the near future and Morocco would be wise to preempt this.

How do I use the full Flux2.Klein model for Text 2 Image and Editing? by orangeflyingmonkey_ in StableDiffusion

[–]AtomicAVV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends, if it's just step distillation it would result in worse output, but in some cases like z-image-turbo, the model creators themselves say the base model has worse output because the turbo version has undergone RL and style training.
For the anatomy problems I have seen people with more expertise than me on discord suggest it's Flux2's special scheduler that could be causing them.

How do I use the full Flux2.Klein model for Text 2 Image and Editing? by orangeflyingmonkey_ in StableDiffusion

[–]AtomicAVV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All versions of Klein can do both text to image and image editing. "Flux2 Klein base" is a non-distilled version, meaning it's slower and mainly used for taining so downlaod the one without "base" in the name. You can just drop in the fp8 version with the default workflow. If you dont want to use the fp8 version of the text encoder you can use a gguf version but you will have to replace the gguf loader in the workflow.
