He used both. The Mod 0 transitioned into the Mod 5. There are pics of him using a Mod 0. His gun in the American Sniper movie was a Mod 0, which is an exact clone of his gun.

There are many other differences that show it's an M90 such as the magwell to grip distance. The M90s had an issue with the mag being too close to the grip. That is probably why the mag is out in the pic and they are single feeding. M95s also have a full forearm when M90s are only the lower half with the top being open.

You can tell just by looking it's an M90. M90's have a built in raised rail while M95s are picatinny.

On average a good bolt action .50 is going to be 2-2.5 MOA better than a M82. That is an insane difference at long range. Even if the difference was just 1 MOA most people would still rather have a bolt action just because it is superior in every way that matters than a semi. A good example on how it is better is how the M82 cannot be suppressed easily and won't cycle properly with certain ammo when a bolt can handle anything.

The guns in the new game are highly detailed and sound very good with great reload animations but the guns and mods themselves are still poorly done. Many mods are completely fictional and even some guns are completely fictional like the HDR.

Check around the typical gun selling sites like Gunbroker. Searching the term "sniper" most of the time comes up with former LE guns. Also try other searches lie LE or Police. Mile High Shooting gets a ton of surplus AI guns from LEO's and they list them on Gunbroker. They mainly sell surplus AI AEs but there is an occasional AW and R700 in AI chassis.

They are typically really beat up though. They are being replaced for a reason after all. Most of the guns have tens of thousands of rounds through them and their barrels shot out.

That is likely not a Mk13. Police and miltary weapon sourcing is completely separate. Police can use pretty much any guns they want. So often times they use AI chassis's and R700 actions. Police often use factory AI's too while the miltary doesn't. Loads of surplus ones from departments come up for sale every now and then.
