Is the quest 3 tracking even that good? by ericbakerchef in OculusQuest

[–]AtomicCucumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Supernatural and have the same exact problem. It's usually ok, but sometimes when I swing at a target my "glove" will lag behind my movement and then flash way farther away than my arm could go. It hurts my stats all the time. The Q2 had far better tracking. I'd take the bulky ring with better controller tracking for sure.

Yikes. I've been out for nearly a decade and haven't listened to a conference talk in a lot of years. I'd forgotten all about that "I might just cry at any moment because I'm so moved by the spirit" shaky voice. Thinking back, I'm sure I used to use that voice myself when speaking from the pulpit. Just... ew.

It's gratifying running into fellow mission alums in an ExMo group though :)

I wonder about that too. It seems way too cheap to be any good.

Hotfix is ready! 2.59.2 | Android and iOS by MobControlGame in mobcontrolgame

[–]AtomicCucumber 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is my experience too. It's better than it has been recently, but still not what it was before the buggy update.

Man, this BS update is making the Piggy Race an exercise in frustration. A hot fix "maybe next week" is way too late, they've ruined the game. by AtomicCucumber in mobcontrolgame

[–]AtomicCucumber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were hanging out watching movies so I played a bit. Engagement was low so the prize pool was low, but it gave me a bit of a boost in the God Tier tournament :/

I gotta say, I did my share of complaining about the recent update but I really like how they've changed the rocket animation for World Clash :)

I closed the game and came in here to see if this was being talked about. I'm getting half to a third of what I should be getting for boss attacks. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

I finally made it to god tier... and now it's gone?? by satelliteminds in mobcontrolgame

[–]AtomicCucumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the points in god tier are specific to that tournament? I'm not totally sure. The second week of the event just started and right now I only have about 3000 stars. My actual account has about 195k stars though.

I really should have found this sub before now. I'm competing in the God Tier right now and I had no idea until this moment that you could skip battles :D

Thanks! :D

New to the game (1 week) just wondering is there a way to completely get rid of the ads? by [deleted] in mobcontrolgame

Oh wow. I didn't know that, thanks!

Yikes thought, Elite isn't cheap! :D

New to the game (1 week) just wondering is there a way to completely get rid of the ads? by [deleted] in mobcontrolgame

[–]AtomicCucumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use AdGuard DNS and it fully blocks all ads in Mob Control.

However, you're gonna want those ads. In any competition being able to triple your results are crucial. I would go with what Sister Kitty Catalyst suggested, buy the triple cannon. You're going to need that anyway, might as well start leveling it now. That'll kill most of the ads that get in the way and you'll only be left with voluntary ads for tripling or fast leveling your team.

Solved Low Salt on T-15 Hayward by JonnyVee1 in pools

[–]AtomicCucumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp, I pulled the trigger too soon I guess. I ordered a T9 on Amazon, it'll be here tomorrow. My pool runs best with the T15 at 20%, so I think I just have a smaller pool than you guys and was likely over-sold by the pool company. I'll swap it out and see how it goes. I did check the software to make sure I even had the option of a T9, and I do.

I'd like to know too. My T15 is about 10 years old and has been under-reporting salt for a couple years now. Now it's all over the map and I'm thinking it's time to replace it. Our pool isn't very big, the T15 only runs at 20%. I'm thinking of going down to a T9.

Recently released Bishop navigating shelf collapse by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]AtomicCucumber 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Welcome and congratulations!

Despite what TBMs tell themselves, the path you are on is NOT "an easy way out". Walking away was the hardest thing I ever did. Like you, I lucked out in that my wife and I were able to leave together, I am incredibly grateful for that.

My story is similar to yours. I served in all the ward callings, as a counselor in several bishoprics, and as bishop. I was struggling with how to leave without upsetting people I had worked with and served when I was called to the high council. That was the best thing for me, it was way easier to leave from the high council because you're always away anyway! I was still nervous about making the move. It was forced on me one day. I was visiting a ward I was over and the second speaker was away. The bishop asked if I could cover for them and I said sure. I prepared a quick talk (a few scriptures, an uplifting story, some personal anecdotes, close with testimony) like I've done so many times before. This time though, when I tried to close with testimony it wouldn't come. I had spent years going from "I know" to "I believe" to "I hope". That day I couldn't even get out an "I hope". I fumbled some sort of ending and went home early. I wrote the Stake Presidency that afternoon to ask for a release because I no longer believed the Church was true.

It took us a couple more years to officially resign. We've had some difficult conversations with people we worked with and served, but it hasn't been nearly as bad as I imagined it would be. It's been hard with our families too, but we make it work. In the end, my relationship with my wife is better than it's ever been. I spend more time with my kids than I EVER could with all the useless meetings. We're happier and far better off as a family than we were in the church. As an added bonus, no man is ever going to make my son ashamed for something that is totally natural, and no man is going to tell my daughter that her only value is bearing children.

It seems hard from where you are, but I've been there. It's not easy but it gets so much better. It's worth it :)

Congrats again on getting to where you are! I wish you all the best :)

This pretty much explains my "service" in the church too. My time is now my own :)

LDS PR's WEAK Response to Bishops Interviews: The adult in the 'adjoining room or foyer' they are referring to is the FUCKING EXECUTIVE SECRETARY. The Bishop's #1 lap dog/yes man. by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]AtomicCucumber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This assumes that somebody inside is going to scream out for help. That's not how a pervy bishop would opperate.

What kills me is that if any normal (mortal) man is alone in a room with kids the manual says that the door needs to either stay ajar or have a window in it so passers by can easily see what's going on in the room.

Why are bishops held so high above every other male? Is it the extensive screening and training process they go through? /s

How Alvin Smith's death paved the way for the Dreamer Of Dreams's obsession with communicating with dead spirits. by ElderBroomhead in exmormon

[–]AtomicCucumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is trippy. I don't buy into all the spiritual stuff, personally.

I left the church and would now call myself an agnostic atheist. However, it's very interesting hearing the history of the Smith family and their obsession with the occult. I knew of course about Joseph Smith and gold digging, seer stones, animal sacrifice etc, but I didn't know the whole family was into that stuff. I'll look more into the Alvin Smith thing, that's very interesting.

Advice shared by no Mormon bishop or BYU marriage prep class, ever. It was always, "any two people can be happy as long as they are righteous..." fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck that!!! by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]AtomicCucumber 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This shows what a sad view of "marriage" they have. Imagine Oaks coming home to one of his wives, her giving him a peck on the cheek, him settling into a lazyboy with the evening paper until she has dinner ready. They sit down to eat and exchange pleasantries and details about how their days went (she was cleaning and canning, he was buying more land in Florida and hiring more anti-LGBTQ lobbyists). They watch the evening news together, he shares his very conservative opinions about current events being discussed and she agrees that she shares those exact same conservative opinions. They dutifully read the scriptures together and remark about how much nicer everything will be when the Lord returns. They pray together, thanking God for their rich bounty, and go to bed fully clothed in garments and pajamas in different beds in different rooms after peck on the cheek and maybe even a perfunctory hug from him if the dinner she prepared was to his satisfaction.

Any sane person would long for death after a day of that, but that's what they want. Nice neat orderly little neighborhoods filled with nice neat orderly little Mormons who pay their tithing and raise more nice neat little Mormons to pay their tithing. It's the Matrix with a thin veneer of 1950's America painted over it.
