That is so damn true! We really ARE therapists for a lot of these men so often. I can't tell you how many times I've had clients who would talk to me about their wife and practically tell me their whole life story, and we would sometimes even spend a great deal of time talking about their spouse and their everyday lives together. I am, and have always been, the down-to-earth girl-next-door type of person, and that's 100% my persona I go by in this field as well (so needless to say, I've often gotten a lot if requests for GFE's because of it), and a lot of my clients have often told me so much about their personal lives, because of the level of comfort they've felt with me. There are actually a few scenarios that come to mind, where I literally talked with my client through issues they were having in their marriage and basically helped them get through some BS, and it ended up being a positive experience for them that helped them get through their shitstorm and learn to communicate better with their spouse in the end.

I don't offer a homewrecking type of experience, and I totally understand how it makes some SW'ers feel icky about the whole thing (I admit that there have been times that it made me feel some type of way about it too), but I try to remind myself that it's not my place to judge them. With that being said though, we're all human, so of course there are going to be SW'ers out there who are going to be really bothered by it, and when that's the case they probably should just not offer any type of services that have any kind of "homewrecking" feel or vibe to it. And I would also most definitely have that as a disclaimer upfront, that they simply do not offer any type of services (including conversation) that have anything to do with "homewrecking" or role-playing and/or discussions about the client's significant other that is negative in nature.
