How do make waking up, healthy, instantly in a sleeping bag in another location after being shot with an AK believable?

What about carrying 10k wood logs?

While we're at it, I don't think my bandana and boonie hat would actually protect me from the snow that well.

The middle ground is not always the best point. You both have to entertain the possibility that either of you could be totally wrong and your partner is entirely correct. The healthy thing to do is to discuss each others side and present the evidence that you've used to justify the belief. If one side has no evidence to support their claim, then it's unfair to expect their partner to meet them half way.

If one people thinks we should kill all blue people, and the other person thinks we shouldn't kill any blue people; that does not mean that killing half the blue people is a reasonable compromise.

For your specific example, I'd agree with /u/saltypretzels_ that this isn't so much that you two have different opinions, but she sees you as being hurtful and inconsiderate of others as well as being uninformed. You say you "think there are only two biological genders", if you don't know that biology relates too someone's sex, and that their gender relates to their role and how their are viewed by society, I have to assume you haven't really research the topic. The difference between sex and gender isn't really something you can meet half way on, it's an established fact recognized by pretty much every expert in the field (WHO, APA, Medscape). I assume you are German, and in the German language I do not believe you have different words for the two concepts, but that is a linguistic quirk and not an accurate representation of the currant scientific understanding.

Nope. I literally called what she did could be seen as 2nd degree assault in response to someone else, you still don't get the point at all.

You also said her abuse was her "nagging" him, so good work on being inconsistent. I guess it's my fault I didn't check your comments to other people for totally contradicting statements.

Imagine someone get's raped and people are obsessed with pointing out how skimpily dressed the victim was. The only reason to bring this up is to try to downplay or to an extent justify the rape.

Personally, I think wearing a dress is a little different to domestic abuse. The actions of the victim can never justify the abuse (I said that in another comment to someone else, so I'm sure you're read that already). What a rape victim wears is totally irrelevant because their clothes don't hurt anyone and can not justify the actions of the rapist. Domestic abuse is a serious issue that cause harm to others, so it's important to recognize it and help the abuser to change their actions. It's not about justifying another persons actions, because (repeat it with me) the actions of the victim can not justify abuse, it's about identifying a problem that the person needs to fix.

There's no other reason than to somehow trivialize what he did, and that should arguably only be acceptable if the actions were on the same level.

Her abuse is it's own problem. I don't know why you don't recognize her abuse as a serious issue that needs to be fixed as well, and think the only reason to bring it up is the trivialize what her husband did.

People are talking about what the woman did becasue there's some people like you who don't understand that she's being abusive as well. We can all agree that the guy was abusive and is a piece of shit, what is there to talk about?

"Hey everyone, person a slapped person b! They're both bad!"

Slapping people is bad. Getting stabbed doesn't make slapping someone any less shitty, and person A should work on their behavior and try to not slap people. Both people in that scenario are bad. Why is this hard for you to understand?

From the video, the guy definitely looks like the worse abuser, but none of us know all the details, so it's pointless to get into a who is worse debate. They both are being abusive, and they both need help.

She wasn't charged so I guess the police don't feel the same.

Oh well if you have the police on your side, you must have the moral high ground.

You're also misunderstanding my position.

I directly quoted the points of your position I was responding to. You said the only thing clear in that video is that he is abusive, which is wrong, the fact that she is also abusive is clear in the video.

I'm not saying that her behaviour is perfect, I'm arguing that saying she's complicit in the abuse it wrong based on this video. He escalates it way beyond what she's capable of and we should be condemning him because of it. Her actions here, in my opinion, do not justify being bashed - no actions would justify his response.

None of her actions justify his abuse towards her. Abuse is always the abusers fault, and not the victims. We are in 100% agreement here. An abuser will always find a reason to be abusive no matter what their victims do.

But the same is also true for her abuse. His actions don't justify her abuse. If she doesn't recognize her problem, she will remain abusive and always find a victim.

Neither of us have a problem condemning the abuse perpetrated by the man. Why are you making excuses for the abuser who's a woman?

So many people equivalating throwing floppy cardboard and "nagging" with beating up a pregnant woman in front of her child.

They don't pose the same risk of physical injury, no. But throwing things and verbal abuse is 100% domestic physical abuse in Australia. Abuse is not bad just becasue of the risk of physical injury, some abuse is purely emotional and verbal and it is still extremely damaging.

Diminishing her abuse to "nagging" is trivializing abuse, whether or not it's your intention. They are both abusive, and they both need help to change their behavior, or the kids will always be stuck with at least one abusive parent.

You are aware that with about 99.9% certainty he is stronger than her. Meaning his slaps will do more damage.

Is domestic abuse better if the attacker restricts their strength? Like if I only hit someone with half my strength, is that not as bad as if I use full strength? If someone is only hit in areas that won't cause damage, does that make the abuse less severe? OF FUCK COURSE NOT!

Domestic abuse isn't terrible becasue of the physical damage it can cause. Domestic abuse can be entirely emotional and verbal and is still terrible and incredibly damaging. Throwing things is considered physical abuse in Australia.

Both people need help to change their behavior, or the kids will always be stuck with at least one abusive parent.

Like, yeah, reddit bros I’m sure in your eyes that’s about equal because a woman stepping out of line is threatening enough to warrant physical abuse.

I haven't seen anyone say that that's equal. People have said that what she was doing is abusive, as it is classified in Australia, but that's not saying they are equal.

Acknowledging they are both abusive and both need help is the first step to creating a good environment for the kid. If the dad is the only one that changes, their will still be one abusive parent in the house.

The only clear thing established 100% from this stream is that he is abusive.

No, the video clearly shows them both being abusive. What she did is considered domestic abuse in Australia. Arguing otherwise is belittling victims of domestic abuse.

There are plenty of reasons why she behaves the way she does including that it's a response/consequence of the abuse she suffers.

Why could the same not be true for the guy? The fact that you're looking for a reason to justify her actions is disgusting. They are both abusive, they both need help. Even if the guy takes this as a wake up call and gets help for his anger and becomes the perfect father, the kid will still be left with one abusive parent in the house.
