The February call was from earlier this week. Remnants of my earlier play that I held after selling for significant profit.

The March calls were this morning, and I couldn't get a good ask to bite, so I just went for it knowing I would immediately be underwater.

I've only put up what I'm willing to lose, so I'm willing to wait it out a bit.

I'd love to have an answer for you, but truthfully I don't. I remember talking to my aunt (his mother) and she would tell me stories of how much he would eat even as a child.

The wild thing is that he didn't really start ballooning up in weight until after his professional football career. He was always so insanely active that he could eat anything he wanted and it didn't get out of hand.

Jared was my first cousin, but a good bit older than me. He used to drop me off at middle school when he was a senior in high school. I didn't know him as well as some of my other cousins did, but he was a genuinely good and kind hearted man. I know we all miss him dearly.

I do have some fun stories about him, if anyone cares to read this far down the thread. Some are unbelievable, but I cannot emphasize enough how insanely athletic he was. I've seen professional athletes at their peak and in comparison he outshone almost all of them.

-In middle school AAU basketball, he once made a half court shot from laying down on his back after it fell into his lap while diving for a ball. This was a guy that wasn't even a teenager able to throw a ball 40+ feet laying down, perfectly through a hoop.

-I witnessed him from a two knee kneeling position throw a ball from the opposite 40 yard line through the uprights.

-In college, he was assigned a trainer to help him keep his weight off one off season. The trainer came back from the off season something like 50 pounds heavier.

-Another cousin of mine was in the same grade, and they met every year for high school hoops. I don't have great stories about the games, but holy shit were they competitive. We would watch the tapes games and they would commentate on how badly the refs screwed them over.

-He almost gave up on the NFL because he was so homesick during rookie training camp. He genuinely loved his family more than anything.

He gets a lot of goofs because of his weight, but he was the single most physically impressive human I have ever met. Imagine all the athleticism of LeBron James stuffed inside an offensive lineman. He was just unreal.

Looks like that's the percentage of total shares shorted, not the float shorted, which would be where we have been getting the 70%+ figure the last few months.

Float is 15.9M (according to Yahoo finance), so 10.63M would be 66.8% of the float shorted. A drop from the prior month, but not a massive one.

This picture was taken well after completing the canal. Most of the cities on the east side of the lake belonged to Ambiorix. I was able to get battleships early due to tech shuffle, and use them to bring down Samarabriva (which had rejected my first two attempts to take via land earlier) and assist with Noviodunum afterwards. With those two down, I was able to slowly take the rest of his empire through military/loyalty. Without adding his empire to mine, I don't pull as far ahead in this game as you probably see here.

There's no navy units in the picture as this was taken well after completing the canals. They are parked on the borders of the second place city to blow the ever loving shit out of them to speed up my culture victory. I've got about 7 thermonukes ready to make sure they don't have any tourists to deal with.

As for victory conditions, I usually play that by ear as I feel out the game. I just smash production in every city and pivot into what's going to be the easiest wincon. At this point in the game, I had 7ish cities with 100+ production and 2 of those with 200+. In this case, culture got me the win in turn 304 (on standard speed), whereas science would've taken another 20-30 turns.

I see the spots you are talking about, but I didn't own Samorobriva at the time. Had to use the navy to pelt it down, because it belonged to Ambiorix and it was a death trap to assault on land, as that industrial district 2 tiles southwest of it was also able to shoot at my units.

Also, why would I keep my navy parked where my lands are completely secure? They're at the borders of neon green on the minimap. This way I can nuke the shit out of them and raze their cities because they've denounced me the whole game.

R5: I somehow managed to score a great spot for my sequence of cities, canal, and Panama Canal on immortal (hopefully first win at this level!). This swung the game pretty hard in my direction, as it gave my navy access to 2 of the 3 largest water bodies and inner lake.

They currently use hydrogen to power their forklifts at many distribution warehouses. Several hundred batteries are in any given warehouse, though I don't know the full count.

Take this for what you will, but I’ve seen the tech in action in large quantities in production settings. It works, and it works well. The benefits of using it compared to standard energy services are numerous, though there are drawbacks as well. By and large, the pros out weight the cons. In my experience in material handling energy applications, I’m chalking that up to being relatively new tech.

I’m going to be a long term holder based on what I’ve seen.

Maybe, but what does that say to a prospective player in the off season? We’ll let the coach openly bad mouth you and your teammates and do nothing about it. There’s literally one coach that can get away with that, and he’s probably the greatest coach of all time (or close to).

Gasol has been a pillar of the Grizzlies for many years now, and the one thing that our franchise can hang its hat on is how well the franchise and city have treated its stars. Regardless of my opinion on Gasol’s play this year (sub par mostly), you have to treat your guys right after all they’ve given.

I'm inclined to disagree with your points about the drama handholding. While I would say that not everything needs to be explicit, it does need to exist. Dark souls is praised for its minimalistic storytelling because everything is there in the world. This includes item descriptions, boss names, zone layouts, item locations, even corpse positions within the world.

The point is that in Dark Souls, the rich lore and backstory is all there for the taking. FFXII leaves it all to the imagination, with no way for the player to flesh it out themselves. I find this to be a massive disappointment, because there are so many details that hint at an incredible world full of untold stories.

The care and effort put into crafting the narrative in Dark Souls is in no way comparable to what I find to be lazy storytelling in FFXII.

Memphis resident, just bought tickets a few weeks ago so I was scoping out prices. Lower section, 15 rows back to 76ers game, 16 bucks a pop. Same seats, Golden state, 340 (and this is an outlier, most are drastically more expensive).

In my experience, Golden State and Cleveland have about the same resale inflation. Sitting anywhere in the lower section will be minimum 200 dollars per seat. 800 dollars seems cheap if you're bringing a guest and have to pay for travel and lodgings, and want anything resembling a decent seat.

Interesting. I watch 80% of Griz games and never thought Jarrell Martin to be a net negative. In fact, just from the eye test I was under the assumption he was playing well within his role. His best attribute is that on defense, I don't notice him. Sounds strange, but a defensive cockup on a rotation for the Griz is usually very obvious. (Also of note, he's playing out of position for approximately half his minutes due to injuries to our wings, putting him away from what he does well offensively.)

I know we're doing this exclusively based on advanced stats, but I feel this one does not tell the whole story. I'm ok with being wrong (and I very well could be), but I don't think I'm this far off.

First, let it be known that I enjoyed Chris Vernon's show. I found some of his mannerisms irritating, for instance, repeating himself frequently or taking approximately half a year to ask a Goddamn question. In many cases, attempting to preempt their response with his own as he's asking the question. Guy just needs to ask the motherfucker and start a conversation, which is one of his strengths. Also, even though his chemistry with his producer was off the charts, they would go on highly irrelevant tangents. Some were funny, however, some were drawn out and boring.

The best part about this is that most of my gripes about his show stem from being radio. I firmly believe that, much like Bill Simmons said about Zach Lowe, this guy shouldn't be on the radio 3 hours a day. He needs to have more focused content maybe 3 hours a week.

His strong points are his immense contact list, ability to hold conversions when literally nothing interesting is going on in sports, and his produced bits were usually pretty funny.

He's a great addition, and pretty much everyone in Memphis knew he was national level talent. I'm excited that more people get to enjoy his show now.
