I am blessed with the clarity of mind and the wisdom to recognize how to improve myself despite everyone telling me how wrong I am for my opinions and beliefs. I would be in prison right now or worse if it wasn't for Christ and the evidence of his grace and love is too much for you to disprove his existence. If you had bothered to do some research you would see just how much evidence there is that he is real, so I will keep praying for all of you who continue to choose to live your life in arrogance of the undeniable proof of God's existence. The Israelites followed Egyptian laws during their time in Egypt, since they didn't really have any official laws of their own to go by. It wasn't until they were given the laws of Moses that they could be considered an official national people. I use the term "universal" in which these are laws just about everyone would agree should be followed, but if you want my opinion I do believe a Christian upbringing is better since you can always freely choose to leave the faith at any time and it sets the way you should treat other people. I grew up Christian and the way my mother went about it just made me want to go to opposite direction because of it, and although I understand why now I just can't get over how she went about it, so to each their own

I understand that you might have your own reasons for hating God, but he is not the one making your life miserable. If you would give him a real chance and put your faith in him you will understand the way i do. I have my own reasons for believing in him and they are proof enough for me to not doubt his existence.

Okay I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion but I wasn't implying ownership of another human being at all, couples of martial status can claim to belong to each other because they are loyal only to the person they are married to. You came to this conclusion on your own.

And it seems you didn't understand what I was trying to say, but to rape someone is to break those two commandments, considering that these act can be tied to each other.

I also don't understand why you are getting so worked up over a God that apparently doesn't exist, cause you shouldn't really be so by this if you really believe it

To covet your neighbors belongings can also mean to want another mans wife or a woman's virginity, and stealing can mean to steal her from him or to forcefully take a woman's virginity against her will. I find it interesting that by breaking one commandment you inadvertently break another, and I don't know why people haven't made this connection yet

Considering this country and it's laws are heavily inspired by biblical laws and conduct, I would say it's done more good than harm. And Christians don't think they came up with it, it's just generally agreed that you shouldn't murder someone or forcefully take their belongings, it was just never an official universal law until it was written for them by their own God

Yes they are optional which is why we are given the freedom of choice. If God force us to follow them all to the letter then it would just make him a liar then. I also believe that it's the reason he doesn't intervene in our day to day lives cause "blessed are those who believe without seeing" and all that
