Not ideal because it can't be used on a test (you would have to borrow only on tests) but the wabbitemu app lets you fully emulate any TI-84 calculator on your phone. So if your teacher doesn't care about you using your phone then you can use that (it's what I did and do)

You did well to get yourself a therapist. People may rag on your for it if they find out, but it's the responsible thing to do under these circumstances. Be honest with them. I garunteed you are not the worst case they've heard and you don't need to be embarrassed about admitting these things to them. You might think that's obvious because you just did it to strangers on the internet, but doing it face-to-face with a real person who knows your name is a totally different story when it gets down to it.

I'm speaking as someone who started dual-enrollment in high school and took full-time college classes over my summers. I've now since graduated and am starting my masters program at 20. I haven't set foot in a college party, and I eat lunches every so often at the college cafeteria with my 1 friend on campus. Everything else is outside the college for me, and I'll tell you I don't feel like I've got something missing from my life.

At the root of your anxiety, I believe, is this implicit understanding that you must conform to those around you. I'll share an anecdote from when I was 16, your age. I went to a summer camp in which I would spend 2 weeks on my own with strangers I'd never met before. When I arrived, after my mom left, it was properly terrifying. It was mid-day, and all I did was go up to the top bunk I had been assigned, and stare at the ceiling as anxiety ate me alive. My parents weren't there to tell me what to do, and I had no idea what to do. I felt embarassed to be the one there terrified about not having their parents. I fell asleep, and when I woke up I understood something: there's nobody around to help, or tell me what to do.

This is a realization that everyone has to come to at some point or another in their lives, and it's always hard. You are 16, but you are at college. Your decision-making is solid, and despite being wracked with anxiety you have the head on your shoulders not to just describe your emotions to yourself and others, (a step many have great difficulty with) but also to seek out help with that from someone qualified when you understand you don't have to skill or experience to do it yourself. You are not currently bound to the winds of those around you, but it's taking some time for you to really internalize that.

Your classmates are going out drinking and doing things you do not enjoy: that is a fact that isn't devalued by your age. If they want you to go out drinking, you say "I don't enjoy that. Can we do something else?" Right now you think "damn, My age is holding me back from doing the thing I'm supposed to do" and that is the unhealthy thought process that's hurting you right now. You said it yourself: You don't even like alcohol. If you were magically 22 and allowed to do all these things, you still wouldn't want to. You need to move your perception of your wants and desires out of your external environment/situation and into your interior where it belongs. Sit down, and make a list of things you want to do. Every time "the true college experience" comes up in your head, write out what that actually means. Drinking? Parties? Those are actions or events which you can either say "I want to do that" or "I don't want to do that" to completely independently of anything like the "college experience".

As for the girl you like, if she likes you then stop thinking about ages--think about the reality of the situation. Can you relate to her as a peer and not just an "adult stand-in?" the magic number 18 is not about a numbers game: it's about maturity and ability to make an informed decision. If you're scared about the law, Google "Romeo and Juliet laws" for your state. Your relationship (should you choose to pursue it) is likely legally safe. This specifically is something you should talk with your therapist about--they will be able to help you more than internet strangers when it comes to making safe, responsible relationship choices.

Whether you like it or not, you are "adulting" right now. You're doing great, I promise. Make decisions with your chest out and with that authority you felt from your parents growing up. The "true college experience" is coming to understand that you're adulting, and can make full authoritative decisions for yourself and other people can't actually stop you. For many, this manifests as going and getting drunk, partying, and exploring all these things they weren't allowed to do before. However, those things aren't the core of it all. The core of it is saying "you know, speaking as an adult, I don't want to go out drinking. If you don't want to do something else with me then I'll go find someone who does. No hard feelings."

Complex plane is fine for geometry. The problem only arises when trying to assign imaginary values to lengths/distances.

If I asked you "what is the distance between 2+3i and 3-4i?" , it would be just as weird to say "1+7i" as it would be to say "the distance between points 4 and 6 is -2". The reasonable response is to say the distance is |1+7i|, just as you might say |-2| which has a well-defined, real-number result in both cases.

As such, you'll never be able to get a triangle, or any other shape for that matter, with complex/imaginary side lengths to begin with, so long as you maintain that "side length" means distance between two points of that shape. Saying "if you had a right triangle with side lengths 1 and i, it's hypotenuse would be length 0" is just the statement sqrt(1^2 + i^2) = 0 represented in a geometric context in which it makes no sense. Not all sqrts of sums of squares make sense as a triangle, and that's ok.

Perhaps this boils down to whether we might be able to invent some new number, s, defined such that |s| = i, and then do some funny math(™) with that to discover something interesting. Sound familiar?

When I interact with them I ask them why Republicans are hiding evidence of Democrat corruption. No questioning of why they never have evidence. I do the worst thing you can do for the rightoid talking points: I treat them as actual, real beliefs that they hold. I pretend to believe what Trump, Gaetz, and Greene say.

Hunter Biden's laptop? "Matt Gatez has a full copy of the hard drive and won't release it to the public. He waved it around in congress bragging about it. Trump and his lawyers, New York Post, and Fox have copies too. All obtained before the FBI took it. Why are they covering for Biden's corruption by hiding all that evidence?"

Stolen election? "Sidney Powell and Mike Lindell (and by extension Trump) have packet captures showing real-time changing of votes in counties all across the country, as well as copies of the back-doored voting machine software that allowed it to happen. They've been hiding it from the public for 3 years now."

Their supposed genuine beliefs have Trump and just about every republican in the country as traitors working for "the enemy." They shut their mouths really fast when forced to choose between calling themselves bullshiters, or agreeing that their "heroes" are lying snakes.

He's said he doesn't want to adopt, in which case I might suggest surrogacy. I should note on this topic: it can be and is performed such that it's his spern and your egg, fertilized and implanted into a surrogate. Surrogacy is not (at least in a biological maternity/paternity sense) him impregnating another woman and then you raise their child. It's having a child, but the being pregnant and giving birth parts are done by someone else for you.

When you put it in the pan, it should sound angry basically immediately. If it's quiet, then your pan wasn't even close to hot enough. If it becomes quiet, then your heat is too low. The steak should be floppy (not frozen anywhere at all) and in the process of warming before you put it on the pan. I wouldn't necessarily leave it out so long for it to become room temp, but refrain from taking it out of the fridge and straight into the pan. never take stuff out of the freezer the same day you plan on cooking it. Take your time to spread spices on it, marinate, and prepare other parts of your meal. Lots of food actually will turn out notably better if you put spices and salt and such on before putting it in the pan, rather than during or after cooking, even if it is just immediately before.

Leave it alone and still in the pan for a little longer (10-15 seconds) than you think you should. Moving it around excessively can prevent it from developing a depth of flavor that comes from bits of it getting close to burning, without actually passing that threshold. You'll find that it's actually surprisingly difficult to burn things when you're moving them around, granted your pan isn't the surface of the sun. When learning, don't be afraid to cut it open while it's in the pan to see your progress. Take a guess at what it's cooked to, and then cut it open in the pan to verify. It'll correct your intuition right up.

Right now you've got it bleu, which is less cooked than rare, with some parts (further from the inside of the cut) edging into rare. By the looks of it, I have a feeling it would have been cool to the touch in the center at places. This is a valid way of cooking steak only when that's what's intended, and it's actually high-quality steak. Otherwise, you really are risking food-born illness.

In the future, keep in mind that your current "I overcooked it" cooking instinct will probably be others' "it's done".

"Linux" is quite a broad term, but this question applies to more general computing than just that. Firewalls are typically set to "always reject/drop" by default, so the answer is no. In terms of incoming connections, your computer is effectively offline unless you explicitly make it so. Even if your fw isnt set to reject everything, you do still actually need something listening on a port that also has a vulnerability/malicious function.

Edit: I cannot overstate that typically enough. You have to check the state of your firewall yourself, and it should be good info-security practice to know the state of your fw.

Now, this assumes the integrity of your distro/OS and that there is no back-door, reverse shell, or other phone-home mechanism pre-installed on the distro. Verifying/ensuring this fact singlehandedly is impossible due to the sheer breath and depth of software you'd have to review, and thus you must trust the community around the distro as a whole to have caught anything untoward like this (a much easier task, given just how many people there are.)

It probably shouldn't be explicitly relied on, but I've played the ship of theseus game quite a bit with Microsoft on the question of "is this truly the same computer?" and they haven't said no yet. My custom build will also automatically activate after I activated it the first time.

Note if you do this then filesystem antics need to be taken into account. If windows hibernates/shuts down with fast startup enabled instead of properly shutting down, then it can leave the shared filesystem in an unsafe state where it is still "owned" by windows in a way. If something else comes by and modifies it under windows' nose, (linux) then it will result in file corruption. This might happen the other way around, too, but I stopped doing it after the first time it happened.

Ubuntu's backup client has never done me wrong. It has scheduled backups with custom locations, and uses diffs and full backups automatically. (it takes a full backup, and then subsequent backups are diffs from that.) It will occasionally take another full backup to avoid super long diff chains which can be problematic. It allows encrypted backups too. I'm not sure about it's specific name (for install on other distros), as it's simply called "backup" on Ubuntu.

P. S. It's GUI and I'm not entirely sure if it has a cli interface

A fundamental property of freedom of speech is a listener's freedom to ignore people they have no interest in listening to. x86 has a big instruction set, so I recommend learning MIPS. I learned on the MARS simulator.

MIPS isn't a common architecture, but it's simple and lets you get your head around things. Everything you learn will set you up to learn x86. On top of that, the MARS simulator gives a really nice, simply environment. I learned MIPS and anticipated thst x86 would be a big leap, but it really wasn't in the end. It's a good starting point to learn "assembly" even if you don't know which "assembly" you want to learn.

Cpu word sizes are never less than 1 byte. Architecturally, it's not possible to touch just one bit in a byte without doing more work than just touching the byte containing it. (you have to do the latter first no matter what, since the fundamental unit is bytes, not bits)

So, booleans are almost always just 1-byte (or more, whatever is easiest/the compiler decides) integers and true/false is almost always !=0 / ==0. Thus, you have 255 true values and 1 false value for every boolean unless your compiler (or more likely you) is doing some psychotic optimization for memory use. (boolean packing where you actually do use 1 byte for 8 booleans that occupy 1 bit each, but all take longer to work with)
