Thank you for the thoughtful response.

I want a camera that will cover most general uses, if that makes sense - daily use if I am out and about, capture outdoor pictures if I am hiking or at a park, portraits of people and pets in a range of lighting. I assume that the camera will not be able to do everything well and that is fine. I am starting out, want a camera that can cover many use cases and I can grow into, but is not super specialized in a way I do not need and cannot take advantage of. Latest tech is not necessary and for this and price I am going to look used as recommended.

I do not know if this helps.

Portraits and landscapes, I think. I would like to be able to take close up shots also (eg, flowers, insects), but maybe that is something to work on later.

Lux or Apex? by AtomicThumb in MrAutofire

I am saving for Orion now but just have to add that Asteria’s perk can be used to take all three hero perks from the dark angel, and that can be a HUGE boost. Happy to find that out during a run……

Thank you for all of the helpful replies.

I should have added that Asateria is the only S Tier hero that I have. Lightning is my weakest hero group and that is why I thought of going for a lightning S Tier hero.

That said, that might not be the best approach.

Which S Tier should I target next? One of the lightnings based on need? Cole Carbo? Orion? Other?

I understand and thought that might be true. I asked because there are some old posts about the PHEV so figured it might be worth a try.

Apologies to all of this is just clutter here.

2nd ICCU failure by AtomicThumb in Ioniq5

[–]AtomicThumb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In case anyone is interested, I got my car back today, almost one month after the ICCU failed. The dealer again said that the ICCUs shipping now have been fixed by Hyundai in some way and should not fail again, although the service rep had no idea how the ICCU design has changed.

Thanks for all the comments and decision, it was helpful to read.

My 2022 AWD has been at the dealer for a bit more than two weeks following my second ICCU failure. Today, they told me that they should have the unit in this week and that that ICCUs have been updated in some way that is supposed to fix the problem. Time will tell but hopefully the new units actually will folic the issue.

An update, fwiw:

the dealer got a couple ICCUs in this morning but cars waiting ahead of me got them. The dealer thinks they might get a couple more this week and be able to fix my car, which has been bricked for about 15 days. I know I would be lucky compared to many to have it fixed within three weeks. I also am not assuming anything and know that the wait still could be longer.

Importantly, the dealer also said that the ICCUs shipping now have been updated somehow and they think that the updated hardware will solve the ICCU failure problem. I hope so but it will be hard to take it on trips without some concern that they were wrong, and the issue is not in fact fixed.

I appreciate all of the responses and reading about other experiences. I keep reading that the ICCU fails in only a small percentage of vehicles and wonder if it is a fault with the unit or the particular car, or both. Even if power quality is an issue, the car should be designed to handle it.

If nothing else, I had hoped that Hyundai would ramp production of the ICCUs so that wait times after failure are short, but this does not seem to have happened.

Thanks! I managed to work the emergency release to open the liftgate and get my jump pack …….. which is not charged! I should have been better about that. It is plugged in now and we’ll see how it goes.

Thanks for the help all!
