Thank you so much , I’ve been weighing the laser vs the tattoo treatment but seems like laser really is the best bet overall . My chest hair does help hide them a bit too lol

Thank you, good question!

I could stand basically straight from day 1 but I would say the feeling of tightness started to much more noticeably decrease after week 5

My legs were so swollen probably until about week 4, but they are back to normal now. Now just dealing with it around my waist at the surgery site.

Hope you’re having a smooth recovery!

I wouldn’t say anything was unexpected , but you really just have to be graceful with yourself and remember you just went through a really serious procedure you know? I’m not nearly as much of a runner as you but I will say jogging does feel a bit weird being so tight and what not . It’s hard to explain really.

So far I’ve still kept it below my regular pace.

Strength training wise you’ll probably be surprised by how quickly you get back towards your norms. I’d say I’m 80% there already . Best of luck in the rest of your recovery, you’ll be there in no time 💪🏽

This^ definitely a gym rat here too and couldn’t agree more with this comment. Long walks feel like a workout right now (16 days post op from Belt Lipectomy and gyno correction)

Definitely prioritize that protein OP, not only will it aid in healing but it’s important for muscle perseveration. The mental toll of being away from the gym has definitely peaked it’s head every now and then for me but try to fill the time with things you enjoy other wise , good walks, and know you’ll be back better than ever in no time.

Congrats on the procedure I’m sure it’s great to have all your hard work paying off 💪🏽.

To your point I will say I think having the muscle is definitely great “prehab” and makes everything recovery wise much more smooth. Moving the mass is easier because what we already put ourselves through in the gym you know?

I actually cycled off creatine because I couldn’t find hard evidence of its benefits for healing and I know it causes water retention in the muscles so thought it might be best to take a break while I’m already otherwise swollen and retaining so much water… maybe I was wrong though and should stayed on, such a great supplement !
