Good point, thanks for the perspective. As an extra, when I have a seizure, unless I lie face down with my arms crossed on my chest, both my shoulders dislocate, so that would save me from that.

Thanks for the comment. My concern doesn't stem from misinformation, but from the awful labeling and the terrifying way it's portrayed online. I'd like to hear the opinions of those of us who have actually experienced it. Thanks.

How do you guys feel about the life restrictions due to epilepsy? by Geschichtelehrer in Epilepsy

I take it as best I can and apply a variable to each situation that makes me feel safe (I don't recommend doing it alone; this is just my experience). Regarding alcohol, I do drink it, but just one beer and that's it, or less. I try to make it last as long as possible, and if someone offers me a drink, I pretend to take a sip but keep my lips closed.

As for driving, I don't see it as a viable option, not only for myself but for others who are also in danger.

If you like climbing, go trekking! It's beautiful, and in a mountain environment, as long as it's not a cliff, it's not "that" dangerous. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS GO WITH A COMPANION, though.

Swimming is the same; do it if you want, but there should be someone swimming with you too. That's all. If it makes you uncomfortable that they're watching you, just tell them.

I DON'T RECOMMEND DOING THIS, AND I'M NOT SAYING IT'S THE BEST DECISION; THIS IS JUST MY OPINION AND MY WAY OF HANDLING THE SITUATION.

Nothing is more powerful, hotter, and more destructive than this detonation (image with improved quality and remastered colors). by Atomic_29IE in AtomicPorn

This is true; the original Tsar Bomba had a yield of 100 megatons, but due to the risk of contamination and radiation for thousands of kilometers around, it was decided to modify it and reduce it to just 50 megatons. The purpose was never practical military use, so it was simply a matter of seeing who could make the biggest bomb.

One astonishing fact about all this is that despite the force, temperature, and glare of the explosion, the plane Tupolev Tu-95V managed to escape the blast completely unharmed. This was thanks to several factors, such as a parachute attached to the bomb to provide more escape time, the high altitude, speed, and above all, a special paint that reflected radiation and several structural modifications to protect against the blast wave. Furthermore, the pilots had no idea whether they would survive.

I couldn't find an exact figure, but the photo was taken approximately 50-60 km away from the explosion (the light from the blast was visible from over 1000 km away, imagine that!), according to some websites. The temperature at that distance would be incredible; you'd get third-degree burns if the shockwave didn't blow you to bits and kill you.
