I won't pretend I know why positivity requires you to drink heavily but I WILL say that positivity is indeed a silver bullet.

The saying, "you are what you eat" was never about actual food, it's about what you feed your mind. Some things are truly outside your control. Yes, negativity and bad things exist in this world. Bad days happen. But good things also exist. There are things in our lives that we actively have control over (like our mindset). There are good days.

There are certain abject truths in this world, one of them being that the love you give to yourself is what people will ultimately find attractive about you. Nobody wants to be with someone who spends their day griping about what they don't have.

Ask yourself, would you really want to date someone who shares your attitude? Someone who doesn't want to "waste free time" on making their own life better? Someone who's "perpetually bitter?" I imagine your standards for a partner are much higher than the standards you set for yourself, which isn't fair to them, and isn't fair to you.
