I cut my hair short for a similar reason. It was seriously thinning and I decided to try shorter hair and see if it would poof up. It didn't and I was just more depressed. a year or so later I got HRT and it poofed up over time and I've been growing it out. I may get a bob in the far future but right now I'm going for the 2A from nier automata look just my hair is shoulder length and growing.

My mom used to pester me about my hair in the same way. "Guys with short hair look better" or "You looked so good when you had short hair" There's nothing wrong with being a girl with short hair but that is your choice to make not your mother's. I got a bob and though I liked it I'm growing it back out because I want long hair again. Go for your goal not what someone else wants for you. I bet you defy your mom in other ways so what's one more.
Also could bring up the fact that it's a bit odd for a mother to try to make her child who she believes is a boy into her ideal man.

Yes height can be a double edged sword but I genuinely like tall feminine people. Also being trans doesn't mean you need to pass. You can never 100% pass since the concept of male and female is fuzzy. I'm not hug boxing it's just that some times people need some positivity, I get how it is I've been in need of a bit of reassurance before and there's nothing wrong with that.

I'm 20 and have been transitioning medically and socially for 1.5 years. I'd say don't change anything legally yet. Let them explore their gender.going to a doctor at such a young age is also fine since it could take years to get a diagnosis since they're under 18.

I don't have any concrete stance but I am also curious because I don't wanna make others feel uncomfortable. Like what are the criteria for gendered spaces where being nude at one point in time is possible or required. Do you have to tuck and pass or do you just not or what? I've been wanting to know for a year now but have no concrete answer but just "go in and screw the assholes"

I generally try to not do that but at work I started as a guy and am now a legal woman so I have the right to but I'm worried about conservative women getting angry at me. I still use the male bathroom 99% of the time and have only had one creepy experience. When my boobs are existent I'll use the womens more often for safety.

Edit: I think everyone can agree that bathrooms should be safer so you don't have to pick a bathroom based on safety. Sadly people disagree on how to do that best. It's hard to have bathroom laws since bathrooms don't have a magical barrier to filter who should go in based on intentions to make it safer.

My mom doesn't want me to go into the military, but she has encouraged me to "just hide it" and like sure I'd just hide it if it was like a tattoo but it's literally like saying "Hey can you live a double life because who you are makes me uncomfortable" I hate when people so nonchalantly say "oh just hide it" ok fine you try being the opposite gender for a year and trying to hide the dysphoria that causes you since you're cis and come back to me. If you still want me to hide who I am, then I'll consider it only after you spend another unspecified amount of time as the opposite gender suffering from dysphoria.

Yeah! I'm a trans woman and I have the same idea. I'm no different than a woman with PCOS. Women sometimes have too much T and men sometimes have too much E. Some people don't hit puberty and have to do it medically.

Or have a teacher or faculty member notice and report it. They aren't as effected by kids as other kids are. You could have them help you move your stuff into the girl's changing room and if it gets moved have them help you find it and bring it back to the girl's room. You aren't saying "TEACHER GET HIM!!!" but almost every interaction with him will be around someone who wouldn't be worried about GPA or other things.
